Extract Fans
In addition to installing the DVS system we also
recommend tting externally vented extract
fans in rooms generating signicant amounts
of moisture such as the kitchen, laundry and
bathroom.
Externally vented extract fans are now
mandatory for all new homes under the Building
Code.
Draught Proong
Draught proong is one of the cheapest and
most ecient ways to save energy in your home
and will help to make your DVS system work
more eectively.
To draught proof your home you should block up
unwanted gaps that let cold air in and warm air
out. By saving warm air you’ll use less energy to
heat your home.
