Installing the Dyson backplate
Where only unsupported plasterboard is available for installation,
a Dyson backplate must be used. Fixing to unsupported plasterboard
(drywall) without the aid of a Dyson backplate will not result in safe
and secure installation for your machine, and may also invalidate
your guarantee.
If the wall you are fixing the machine to has an airgap, the fixings
used must be of a sufficient length to provide a secure installation.
Do not use sealant when attac
hing the machine to the wall.
The Dyson backplate helps protect the wall from water damage
and can be used to cover holes/marks left from previously installed
products – including the Dyson Airblade dB hand dryer.
