The appliance comes with magnetic styling attachments that facilitate easy fitting and rotation during use. A "Cold shot" feature allows users to deactivate heat and set their style.

- Maximum thermistor temperature at safety shut down: 145°C.
- Safety Device: Equipped with a non-self resetting thermal cut-out safety device to prevent overheating.
- Electrical Safety: For bathroom use, it is recommended that a Residual Current Device (RCD) with a residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA be installed in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom.

Maintenance Features:
- Removable Filter Cage: The filter cage is designed for easy removal and cleaning.
- Filter Cleaning Process:
- Unplug the machine from the mains electricity supply.
- Hold the handle firmly and rotate the filter cage anti-clockwise.
- Pull the filter cage down and away from the machine.
- Use a lint-free cloth or soft brush to remove any dust or debris from both the filter cage and the filter mesh.
- Important: Do not use water to clean the filter. Do not apply too much pressure to the filter mesh.
- Rotate the filter cage back into position, ensuring correct alignment.
- Rotate clockwise to lock before use.
- Diagnostics: The LED lights will flash continuously to indicate when the machine needs attention, specifically for filter cleaning.
- Dyson Helpline: Users are advised to contact the Dyson Helpline for service or repair, or if the appliance is not working as it should (e.g., after a sharp blow, being dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water). Disassembling the appliance is not recommended as incorrect reassembly may result in electric shock or fire.
- Guarantee: The Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer comes with a 2-year guarantee covering repair or replacement due to faulty materials, workmanship, or function. The guarantee is valid only if the machine is used in the country in which it was sold and does not cover damage from improper maintenance, misuse, neglect, or repairs by unauthorised parties.
