It features two independent charging slots, allowing it to simultaneously charge two batteries of different sizes, types, and capacities. The charger is optimized for IMR batteries and includes a built-in LCD panel that clearly displays charging progress, battery type, and voltage, providing users with essential information at a glance.
The primary function of the EASTSHINE S2 is to safely and efficiently charge various types of rechargeable batteries. It supports Li-ion/IMR/INR/ICR/LiFePO4 batteries, including common sizes like 26650, 18650, 14500, and 10440, as well as Ni-MH/Ni-Cd batteries such as AA, AAA, AAAA, and C. The charger's intelligent circuitry automatically detects the battery type and status upon insertion, selecting the appropriate voltage and charge mode. For LiFePO4 batteries, manual selection is required by pressing and holding the A or B button for more than 5 seconds.
The S2 offers two charging current options: 500mA and 1000mA, which can be selected by a short press of the A or B button. This flexibility allows users to choose a charging speed suitable for their batteries. The device is designed to prevent over-charge, short-circuit, and over-current, ensuring the longevity and safety of the batteries. The EASTSHINE S2 is designed for ease of use. To begin, simply connect the power cable to a standard AC outlet or a car adapter. The charger will enter an energy-saving mode with decreased LCD brightness if no batteries are inserted or buttons pressed for 30 seconds, and any effective operation will wake the screen.
The two conveniently located A/B buttons allow for easy selection of specific battery types and charging current. While in charging mode, the battery indicator bars on the LCD will blink rhythmically, indicating the ongoing charging process. Users can switch between 500mA and 1000mA charging currents with a short press of the A or B button. To switch to LiFePO4 charging mode or other battery charging modes, a long press (over 5 seconds) of the A or B button is required.
The charger operates independently for each slot, meaning different chemistries and voltages can be charged simultaneously. This enhances convenience for users with diverse battery collections. Once charging is complete, or if the charging time exceeds 8 hours, the S2 charger will automatically stop charging. Mechanical vibration or shock should also be prevented to avoid damage to the device.
To ensure proper functioning and safety, users should never attempt to charge primary cells such as Alkaline, Zinc-Carbon, Lithium, CR123A, or CR2, as this poses a risk of explosion and fire. Charging with both AC and car power sources simultaneously is also prohibited. The charger should never be left unattended when connected to power, and any malfunction should prompt immediate termination of the process. Damaged IMR batteries should not be charged, as this can lead to short-circuiting or explosion. Short-circuiting the slots or other parts of the device, or allowing metal wires or other conductive materials into the charger, must be avoided.
