STEP ONE - DESIGN AND LAYOUT
Position your lter falls where you want the waterfall or
stream to originate. Be sure to have the pond shape out-
lined before excavating. Excavate the pond to the desired
depth and shape - the recommended depth is between
24 and 36 inches. Set aside the soil to be used later while
burying the pipe from the skimmer.
When excavating be sure the ground is level around the
pond perimeter and ensure the lter falls box area is level as
well. Compact the soil that will be under the lter to avoid
settling later.
STEP TWO - INSTALLING THE PLUMBING AND THE FILTER FALLS
Thread the 2" male adapter into one of
the ports on the lter using teon tape
or silicone on the threads.
Thread the 2" plug into the unused
port using teon tape or silicone on the
threads.
Glue the PVC ex pipe into the
male adapter and hold together
until glue is set.
Set the lter box on the
prepared surface. Be sure
lter sits level side to side
and tips forward

Insert the PVC support tubes into the "V" shaped notches in the
bottom of the lter on the Prelude and Melody models, the So-
nata and Symphony models have built in supports instead of the
PVC pipe. Be sure lter does not move while backlling with dirt
around it.
