Summary

Design and Layout

Positioning the Filter Falls

Position your filter falls where you want the waterfall or stream to originate. Excavate the pond to the desired depth.

Excavation and Ground Leveling

Ensure the ground is level around the pond perimeter and the filter falls box area. Compact the soil under the filter.

Installing the Plumbing and Filter Falls

Connecting the Male Adapter and Plug

Thread the 2" male adapter and 2" plug into the filter ports using Teflon tape or silicone.

Attaching PVC Flex Pipe

Glue the PVC flex pipe into the male adapter and hold until the glue sets.

Setting the Filter Box

Set the filter box on the prepared surface, ensuring it is level side to side and tips forward.

Inserting Support Tubes

Insert PVC support tubes into notches or use built-in supports for stability.

Installing Underlayment and Liner

Running Underlayment and Liner

Run underlayment in the pond and up to the filter box. Lay the liner over the underlayment, working out wrinkles.

Securing the Liner

Fold the liner over the Spliner Lock and secure with the Spliner Bar and Spliner Locks.

Finishing Up

Placing Filter Media

Lay filter mats and Bio-Blox media bags in the bottom of the filter box.

Concealing the Filter Box

Cover the filter box with a flagstone or cover, and stack stones to conceal the box and liner.

Cleaning Filter Material

Bio-Media Cleaning

Clean Bio-Media by agitating it in the filter and draining dirty water. Be cautious of chlorinated water.

Filter Mat Cleaning

Clean filter mats by spraying them off with a garden hose.
