Remove new piston cup(s) from protective
cardboard packaging. Set new piston cups
onto retainer plate, these parts will sit at
against each other.

Remove old cylinders and discard.

Remove screws from the head of compres-
sor using T25 Torx driver, remove the head
WARNING: Electrical shock hazard. Disconnect electrical
supply before performing maintenance. Vent all air lines
to release vacuum or pressure. Failure to follow these
instructions may result in death, re or electrical shock.
WARNING: Injury hazard. Product surfaces become very hot during
operation, allow surfaces to cool before handling.
WARNING: Do not use oil to lubricate parts. SRC compressors use
an oil less design. Using oil may result in failure of the unit.

Mark the orientation of head plate(s) and re-
move. Mark the orientation of valve plate(s),
remove valve plate(s). Clean valve plates
with water based solvent, take care not to
scratch valve seats.

Set new cylinder(s) on piston(s).

Remove screws from cup retainer plate
with T15 Torx driver. Discard old cups and
retainer screws.

*Repair kit contents may vary depending on your
compressor. The SRC50K contents are shown,
SRC25K will have half the components shown
for single cylinder repair.
Before beginning, you will need:
1. T15 and T25 Torx driver
2. Torque driver
3. Utillity knife

Stratus SRC Series Repair Procedure

Remove Compressor Head

Use T25 Torx driver to remove screws from the compressor head and detach the head.

Orient and Clean Valve Plates

Mark head/valve plate orientation, remove plates, and clean with solvent.

Replace Cylinders

Remove old cylinders from the unit and discard them.

Replace Cup Retainers and Cups

Remove cup retainer plate screws with T15 Torx, discard old cups and screws.

Install New Cylinders

Set new cylinder(s) on piston(s), rotating to align screw holes.

Prepare New Piston Cups

Remove new piston cups from packaging and place them flat on the retainer plate.

Install Retainer Plate and Cylinder

Press retainer plate into cylinder, apply thread locker, and torque screws to 10-13 inch-pounds.

Replace Cylinder O-rings

Remove old cylinder o-rings from valve plates and install new ones.

Inspect Leaf Valves

Inspect leaf valves for damage or wear, noting the intentionally bent valve.

Position Valve Plates Correctly

Check valve plate orientation with ports and place them over the cylinders.

Replace Head O-rings

Install new head o-rings in the grooves on top of the valve plate.

Reinstall Compressor Head

Reinstall head, check port orientation, and torque screws to 50 inch-pounds.
