Why does my Echo Instruction Manual Chainsaw engine crank but not start?

Your Echo Chainsaw might not be starting due to several reasons. The fuel strainer or fuel line could be clogged, requiring cleaning or replacement. The spark plug might be defective, covered with carbon, or have an incorrect gap; in this case, adjust the gap to .65mm (0.026 in.), clean or replace the plug. Also, the fuel mixture may be too rich, so you should open the choke and clean or replace the air filter.
