What to do if Echo PPT-260 - 10-05 engine cranks but doesn't start?

If your Echo Pole Saw engine cranks but doesn't start, several issues could be the cause. There might be no fuel at the carburetor; in this case, clean or replace the carburetor. Also, the fuel line could be clogged, so clean or replace it. If the muffler is wet with fuel, open the choke, clean/replace the air filter, or adjust the carburetor. If there's no spark, turn the switch to ON or clean or replace the spark plug. Replacing the plug may also help.

Why does my Echo Pole Saw engine run but die or not accelerate properly?

      Veronica RodgersAug 8, 2025
If your Echo Pole Saw engine runs but either dies or doesn't accelerate properly, several factors could be at play. A dirty air filter, fuel filter, or a plugged fuel vent could be the cause; in these cases, cleaning or replacing the affected part is recommended. Also, a dirty or worn spark plug can cause this issue, so clean and adjust or replace it. Improper carburetor adjustment may also be the reason and it should be adjusted. Ensure the cooling system is clean and that the spark arrestor screen isn't plugged; clean the former and replace the latter.
