Overview

This document describes the ECOMAX Jump Starter, model ECA80, a portable power bank designed for jump-starting vehicles and charging electronic devices.

Function Description:

The ECOMAX Jump Starter serves as a multi-functional power source. Its primary function is to jump-start 12V vehicles with a starting current of 350A and a peak current of 1500A. It also features a Quick Charge output port (5V=3A; 9V=2A; 12V=1.5A) and a PD30W In/Output port (5V=3A, 9V=3A, 12V=2.5A, 15V=2A, 20V=1.5A) for charging mobile phones, tablets, and other electronic devices. The device includes an LED flash light with four modes: normal, strobe, SOS, and off.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model: ECA80
  • Dimensions: 186 x 98 x 37mm
  • Weight: 590g
  • Battery Capacity: 15000 mAh (55.5 Wh)
  • Output (Quick Charge): 5V=3A; 9V=2A; 12V=1.5A
  • Output (PD30W): 5V=3A, 9V=3A, 12V=2.5A, 15V=2A, 20V=1.5A
  • Input (PD30W): 5V=3A, 9V=3A, 12V=2.5A, 15V=2A, 20V=1.5A
  • Start Current: 350A
  • Peak Current: 1500A
  • Full Charging Time: Approximately 2 hours
  • Operating Temperature: -20°C to 60°C
  • Battery Type: Lithium-based battery

Usage Features:

The device features a digital display that shows the battery's power percentage. It indicates "IN" when the PD30W charging function is active, "OUT" when the PD30W output function is in use, and "OUT Quick Charge" when the 5V2.4A/fast charge output function is active.

Charging the EPOWER:

  1. Plug a USB charger cable into any working USB output port.
  2. Connect the PD30W connector to the EPOWER host. The device automatically powers off when charging is complete or when no load is detected. Full charging takes approximately 2 hours via the PD30W input port.

Jump Starting a 12V Vehicle:

  1. Connect the blue plug of the intelligent jumper cable fully into the host, ensuring the Cable Indicator is off.
  2. Connect the Red Clamp to the positive (+) battery terminal and the Black Clamp to the negative (-) battery terminal.
  3. Follow the instructions provided by the Cable Indicator:
    • GREEN LIGHT on: Indicates a correct connection and working circuit. The engine can be jump-started directly.
    • RED LIGHT on with buzzing: Indicates an incorrect connection. Correct the clamps as per step 2 and wait for the GREEN LIGHT to turn on before starting the engine.
    • GREEN LIGHT blinking: Indicates a low vehicle battery. Press the "BOOST" button, wait for the GREEN LIGHT to become solid, then start the engine within 30 seconds.
    • No Lights on, No buzzing: Indicates a potentially damaged vehicle battery. After confirming correct clamp connection, press the "BOOST" button, wait for the GREEN LIGHT to turn on, then start the engine within 30 seconds.
  4. Start the vehicle.
  5. Once the vehicle is started, remove the jumper cable from the vehicle battery. Leave the vehicle's engine running. The device can jump start a 3.0L gasoline vehicle approximately 15 times on a full battery. Do not jump start more than 3 times in a row to prevent overheating; allow a two-minute interval between starts.

Charging Cell Phones or Tablets:

  1. Plug the switch cable into the Quick Charge output port.
  2. Select the appropriate connector and connect it to your mobile phone or tablet.
  3. Touch the switch button; the device will automatically recognize suitable parameters and begin charging.

LED Flash Light:

Press the switch for 3 seconds to activate the LED flash light. Subsequent slight presses will cycle through the modes: normal, strobe, SOS, and off.

Maintenance Features & Warnings:

  • Storage: Store in a safe place and on hand for easy reference. Do not store in locations where the temperature may exceed 60°C. Charge only at ambient temperatures between 0°C and 45°C.
  • Battery Life: The EPOWER typically lasts 3-5 years under normal conditions. The battery storage can remain for 6-12 months, but it is recommended to recharge every 3 months.

    • Charge only with the provided charger or one with the same standard as the host input port.
    • Do NOT charge the unit immediately after jump-starting a car.
    • Do NOT use the unit to jump-start a vehicle while charging its internal battery.
    • In case of battery leakage, do not handle with bare hands. Wash skin with soap and water immediately if contact occurs. Rinse eyes with cold running water for at least 10 minutes and seek medical attention immediately.
