What to do if Efco K655 Engine will not start?
- GGabriella RomeroAug 7, 2025
If your Efco Engine won't start, there are several potential causes. First, ensure the choke is closed unless the engine is warm; adjust the lever accordingly. Check the fuel level and refuel if necessary. Bad fuel can also be a culprit; drain the fuel tank and carburetor, then refuel with fresh gasoline. Inspect the spark plugs for faults, fouling, or improper gaps, and gap or replace them as needed. If the spark plugs are wet with fuel, dry and reinstall them, then start the engine with the control lever in the FAST position. For issues like a clogged fuel filter, carburetor malfunction, ignition malfunction, or a stuck valve, replace or repair the faulty components.
