Never operate at higher speed than the maximum speed rating of the auger
bit. At higher speeds, the bit is likely to bend if allowed to rotate freely without
contacting the workpiece, resulting in personal injury.
◾
Battery-operated machines do not have to be plugged into an electrical
outlet; therefore, they are always in operating condition. Be aware of
possible hazards even when the machine is not operating. Take care when
performing maintenance or service.
◾
Do not wash with a hose; avoid getting water in motor and electrical
connections.
◾
The ice blades are very sharp. Use extreme caution when drilling a hole or
replacing the blades. Put the blade guard on after each use.

Frequently check and ensure that the locking screw is secured in place.
