TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
Machine fails
to start or stops
unexpectedly.
Low battery pack
capacity
Charge the battery pack.
Battery pack is
overheated or too cold.
Wait for the battery pack to cool
down or warm up, at which point
the auger can be started again.
The right handle cable
is not connected with
the power head cable
properly.
Connect the cables of the right
handle and the power head
following the step 4 in section
INSTALLING THE HANDLES” in
this manual.
There is too much
noise and/or
vibration during
operation.
Some parts are loose.
Stop the auger, remove the
battery pack, check and tighten
loose parts.
Motor runs, but
auger bit remains
stationary.
Loose auger bit
Reinstall the auger bit following
the section “INSTALLING THE
AUGER BIT in this manual.
Ice auger jumps
on the ice or cuts
slowly through
the ice.
Blades are dull or
damaged.
Replace with new blades
following the section
REPLACING THE ICE BLADES
in this manual.
The auger
rotation direc-
tion or speed
is not switched
after pushing the
rotation direction/
speed slector.
Switching direction
of rotation between
forward and reverse is
only possible when the
auger is stopped.
Stop the auger completely, push
the rotation direction/speed
selector to desired rotation and
then start the auger again.
Other unidentified
causes.
Contact EGO service center for
repair.
