ATTACHING/REMOVING THE
MULCHING INSERT (FIG. 4)
DANGER:
The machine can throw
grass clippings and other objects
through an opening in the machine
housing. Objects thrown with enough
force could cause serious personal
injury or death to you or to bystanders.
Never operate the mower without either
the mulching insert, the grass bag, or the side-discharge chute properly installed.
1. Switch off the mower.
2. Remove the battery pack.
3. Position the mower on a lever surface.
4. Lift the rear-discharge door.
5. Grasp the handle of the mulching insert and fully insert it into the mower, so that
it is securely seated.
6. Release the rear-discharge door and make sure it rests firmly against the
mulching insert.
7. To remove the mulching insert, lift the rear-discharge door, grasp the handle of
the mulching insert, and pull it out.
8. Release the rear-discharge door.
WARNING:
The mulching insert must be removed when installing the grass bag
or side-discharge chute. The mulching insert must be re-installed when the grass bag
or side-discharge chute is removed.
