This document is the operator's manual for the EGO 56-Volt Power Inverter, model number PAD1500E. It provides essential information for safe and effective use, including specifications, operational instructions, safety warnings, and maintenance guidelines.
Function Description
The EGO 56-Volt Power Inverter is designed to convert the DC power from EGO POWER+ battery packs into usable AC and USB DC power for small electronic devices. It features two USB ports and one AC port. The USB ports are intended for charging small USB devices such as cell phones and MP3 players, while the AC port can power small AC devices like laptop computers. The inverter is designed for indoor use in a dry environment. It is not intended for any use other than charging small USB electronics (up to 4.2A combined) or small AC devices (up to 150W). Misuse or exceeding the rated output can lead to damage, automatic shutdown, or safety hazards.

Usage Features
The power inverter is easy to use with EGO POWER+ battery packs.
- Assembly: Align the mounting slots on the power inverter with the ribs on the battery pack and slide it until it snaps into position. Ensure the spring latch engages securely.
- Connecting Devices: Connect the small USB or AC device to the appropriate port on the power inverter.
- Powering On/Off: Press and hold the power button until the green light illuminates to turn on the inverter and begin charging the device. To turn off, press and hold the power button until the green light turns off.
- Separation: Hold the battery pack with one hand and pull the power inverter with the other hand to separate them.
- Automatic Shutdown: The inverter features an automatic shutdown mechanism if connected devices draw more than the rated output (Total 4.2A for USB ports and maximum 150W for AC port). In this event, the power button will flash red. Devices must be removed, and the power button pressed and held until green light illuminates to reactivate.
- Low Power Shutdown: If the USB output current is less than 500mA and the AC output power is less than 5W, the system will shut off automatically in 1 minute. If the USB output current is beyond 500mA or the AC output power is beyond 5W, but then drops below 500mA (USB) and 5W (AC) for 3 hours, the system will also shut off automatically.
- Troubleshooting:
- If the inverter stops working, check if the battery capacity is depleted (charge the battery) or if the battery pack is too hot (cool it below 67°C).
- If the red LED flashes for 1 minute then shuts off, the connected device(s) are drawing too much power (remove the device and reactivate).
- If the red LED shines for 1 minute then shuts off, the inverter itself is too hot (cool it below 105°C).
Maintenance Features
- Cleaning: Always remove the battery pack before cleaning. Avoid using solvents on plastic parts, as they can cause damage. Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, and grease. Do not allow brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, penetrating oils, or other chemicals to contact plastic parts.
- Storage: Remove the battery pack from the inverter. Clean the unit thoroughly. Store the unit in a dry, well-ventilated, locked-up area, out of reach of children. Do not store near fertilizers, gasoline, or other chemicals.
- Service and Repair: All repairs should be performed by a qualified service technician using identical EGO replacement parts to ensure safety and prevent product damage. Do not disassemble the power inverter yourself.
- Battery Charging: Fully charge the EGO POWER+ battery pack before first use. Charge the battery in a location where the temperature is between 5°C and 40°C.
- Safety Precautions:
- Read and understand all instructions and safety symbols (DANGER, WARNING, CAUTION) before use.
- Do not insert nails, wires, or other objects into the AC or USB ports to avoid electric shock, short circuits, smoke, and fire.
- Do not expose the inverter to rain or wet conditions.
- Do not expose the battery pack to fire or excessive temperatures (above 100°C).
- Avoid contact with liquid ejected from the battery; if contact occurs, flush with water and seek medical help if it contacts eyes.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
- Individuals with electronic devices like pacemakers should consult their physician before using this product due to potential interference.
