3 Sterilization and Maintenance
3.1 Sterilization of Handpiece
The optional autoclave temperature and pressure:
Sterilization at 121 °C and 1 bar (0.1 MPa) or 135 °C and 2.2 bar (0.22 MPa).
Pull out the handpiece and unscrew the scaling tip after every operation.
Pack the handpiece with sterile gauze or bag.
Reuse the handpiece after it cools naturally, in case of scalding hand.
NOTICE
-
Clear the cleaning liquid in the handpiece by compressed air before sterilization.

Be sure that the scaling tip has been unscrewed from the handpiece, and it is not sterilized with
others.

Please pay attention that whether the outer of the handpieces damaged during the treatment or
sterilization, do not smear any protective oil on the surface of handpiece.

There are two waterproof "O" rings at the end of the handpiece. Please lubricate them with dental
lube frequently, as sterilization and repeating pulling and inserting will reduce their lifespan. Once
they are damaged or worn excessively, please replace them with new ones.
The following sterilizing methods are forbidden:

Put the handpiece into any liquid for boiling.

Put the handpiece in disinfectors such as alcohol, iodine or glutaraldehyde.

Put the handpiece in oven or microwave oven for baking.
3.2 Sterilization of Scaling Tip
All scaling tips can be autoclaved with 135 °C.
3.3 Sterilization of Torque Wrench
The torque wrench can be sterilized under high temperature and pressure.
3.4 Cleaning of Torque Wrench and Scaling Tip
Both of them can be cleaned with an ultrasonic cleaner.
3.5 Sterilization and Cleaning of LED Lamp and Light Pipe
Clean the LED lamp and Light pipe with purified water and sterilize them under high temperature and
high pressure after every operation.
