Why are pH readings inaccurate on EIJKELKAMP Measuring Instruments?
    • J
      James SanchezAug 19, 2025
Slow, inaccurate, or unstable pH and ORP readings, or the inability to calibrate your EIJKELKAMP Measuring Instruments can occur for several reasons: * The electrodes may need recalibrating, so recalibrate them. * The electrodes may need cleaning. * The electrodes may have been allowed to dry out. * The electrodes may be damaged and need replacing. * Water may have entered the electrode socket because the electrode is loose. Remove the electrode, blow out the socket with compressed air, and leave the probe and electrode in a warm place for at least 48 hours to dry out.

Why are dissolved oxygen readings inaccurate on EIJKELKAMP Measuring Instruments?
    • G
      gkingAug 21, 2025
Inaccurate or unstable dissolved oxygen readings on your EIJKELKAMP Measuring Instruments can stem from several causes: * There may be insufficient flow across the Galvanic DO membrane. Ensure a constant water flow whilst taking readings (does not apply to AP-900 & AP-1000). * The DO electrode may need calibrating, so recalibrate it. * The DO membrane may be dirty, so clean it. * The DO membrane may be worn out or damaged, so replace the DO membrane cap. * Calibration may have been carried out at an extreme temperature. Recalibrate at a temperature as close to the sample temperature as possible.

Why are EC readings inaccurate on EIJKELKAMP Measuring Instruments?
    • R
      Robert KramerAug 23, 2025
Inaccurate or unstable EC readings, or Error 09 during calibration on your EIJKELKAMP Measuring Instruments, can be due to: * Missing Probe Sleeve: EC will not work without the whole Probe Sleeve fitted. * Insufficient sample depth: Ensure the sample level reaches the minimum depth line on the outside of the Aquaprobe. * Trapped air bubbles: Tap and swish the Aquaprobe to dislodge them. * Loose Probe Sleeve: The Probe Sleeve must be absolutely rigid with respect to the Probe Body for correct EC operation. If you can move the Probe Sleeve to and fro whilst holding the Probe Body, tighten the four screws then recalibrate. * The EC electrode may need recalibrating, so recalibrate it. * Dirty EC electrode: Clean the EC electrode then recalibrate.

What to do if AquaLink software can't find EIJKELKAMP Measuring Instruments?
    • S
      Stacy HoltAug 28, 2025
If the AquaLink software cannot find the Aquameter, it could be due to: * Improperly installed USB drivers: Reinstall the USB drivers carefully following the instructions. * A problem with the USB socket on the PC: Try an alternative socket.

How to fix GPS on EIJKELKAMP Measuring Instruments?
    • J
      Jerry TateAug 30, 2025
If the GPS Aquameter does not show a position fix, it probably does not have a good enough view of the available satellites. Ensure there are no obstructions between the Aquameter and the open sky. Remember, GPS does not work indoors.

What does ERROR 02 mean on EIJKELKAMP Aquameter?
    • D
      Debbie BarnettSep 1, 2025
ERROR 02 on the Aquameter screen (AP-900 & AP-1000 only) indicates that the Optical DO electrode needs calibrating or the cap needs replacing. Perform a full DO calibration, first at DO Zero then at 100% DO. If that does not cure the problem, replace the Optical DO Cap.

What to do if EIJKELKAMP Measuring Instruments can't find Aquaprobe?
    • K
      Katherine MccannSep 3, 2025
If the Aquameter cannot find the Aquaprobe, there is probably a poor connection. Switch the Aquameter off, disconnect the Aquaprobe plug, ensure there is no debris or moisture in the plug, then re-connect the plug ensuring it is fully inserted and that the screw collar is fully tightened.

Why doesn't 'USB CONNECTED' appear on EIJKELKAMP Aquameter?
    • K
      Katie JenningsSep 5, 2025
If the ‘USB CONNECTED’ message does not appear on the Aquameter when connected to a PC, it could be due to: * Dead or incorrectly fitted batteries: Check you have fresh batteries fitted and that they are inserted the correct way round. * A problem with the USB socket on the PC: Try an alternative socket.

What does ERROR 01 mean on EIJKELKAMP Aquameter?
    • D
      Daryl GreenSep 7, 2025
ERROR 01 on the Aquameter screen indicates that the pH electrode has dropped below 85% efficiency. Try cleaning the pH electrode and re-calibrating. If that does not cure the problem, replace the electrode.

What does ERROR 07 mean on EIJKELKAMP Aquameter?
    • C
      Christian ThorntonSep 9, 2025
ERROR 07 on the Aquameter screen indicates that the Aquaprobe has stopped responding to requests for data from the Aquameter. Check the Aquaprobe plug is fully inserted. Cycle the power to reset the Aquaprobe.
