Overview

This document provides the operating instructions for the Einhell E-Stand base frame, designed for use with mitre saws such as the RT-XM 305 and RT-SM 430. The manual covers safety information, layout, supplied parts, proper use, assembly, cleaning, maintenance, and disposal.

Function Description

The Einhell E-Stand base frame serves as a stable and secure support for compatible mitre saws, specifically the RT-XM 305 and RT-SM 430 models. Its primary function is to elevate the saw to a comfortable working height and provide a sturdy platform, enhancing safety and operational efficiency during cutting tasks. The frame is designed for easy assembly and offers a robust structure to minimize vibrations and ensure precise cuts. It is intended for use in a tidy, even, and strong workplace, with the saw securely fixed to the base frame.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Weight: Approximately 7 kg.
  • Compatibility: Designed for Einhell mitre saws RT-XM 305 and RT-SM 430.
  • Construction Materials: Made from various types of material, such as metal and plastic, ensuring durability and stability.
  • Assembly: Requires manual assembly using screws, washers, and nuts provided in the package.
  • Safety Features: Emphasizes secure setup, proper fastening of the saw, and adherence to safety regulations to prevent injuries and damage.

Usage Features

The E-Stand base frame is designed for straightforward assembly and practical use.

Assembly: The assembly process involves several steps, starting with attaching the support feet (A) to the intermediate struts (C) using screws (N), washers (H), and nuts (G). The rubber stoppers on the support feet must be aligned to ensure a level support surface. Next, the side parts (B) are slid over the intermediate struts (C) and secured with screws (L), washers (K), and nuts (I). This process is repeated for both halves of the base frame.

The two bottom cross struts (E) are then inserted into the intermediate struts (C) and fastened with screws (L), washers (K), and nuts (I). Similarly, the two top cross struts (F) are slid into the side parts (B), and corner braces (D) are inserted. It is crucial to note that the corner braces (D) and saw mounts (J) fit only one way, aligning with the holes in the side part (B) and top cross struts (F). The top cross struts (F), corner braces (D), side part (B), and saw mounts (J) are then screwed together using screws (L), washers (K), and nuts (I).

Finally, the two assembled base frame parts are joined by positioning the bottom and top cross struts (E, F) into the relevant openings on the side part (B) and intermediate strut (C), and securing them with screws.

Saw Mounting (for RT-SM 430 and RT-XM 305): For the RT-SM 430, the saw mounts (J) are fastened to the base frame. Before placing the saw, the four rubber buffers (Z) from the bottom side of the saw must be removed. The saw is then placed onto the base frame, aligning the holes where the rubber stops were with the four holes on the top side of the saw mounts (J). The saw is then secured to the saw mounts (J) using four screws (M) inserted from above through the saw feet.

For the RT-XM 305, the process is similar, involving the removal of rubber stoppers (Z) from the bottom of the saw. The saw is then placed on the base frame, aligning the holes with the four holes on the top side of the base frame. Four screws (S) are inserted through the feet from the top and secured with cap nuts (R) and washers (Q) to fasten the saw to the base frame.

Safety Guidelines: Users must read and follow all operating instructions and safety information provided in the manual and with the electrical tool. The machine must be set up on a safe, tidy, even, and strong ground. The saw must be fixed securely to the base frame. Children and visitors should be kept away from the machine and work area. Idle tools should be stored in dry, high, and locked-up places, out of reach of children. Adherence to accident prevention regulations and general rules of safety is imperative. The equipment is not designed for commercial, trade, or industrial applications; using it for such purposes will void the warranty. Only suitable saw blades should be used, and cutting-off wheels are prohibited.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning: Regular cleaning is essential to maintain the equipment's functionality and longevity. Users should always pull out the mains power plug before starting any cleaning work. All safety devices, air vents, and the motor housing should be kept free of dirt and dust. The equipment can be wiped with a clean cloth or blown with compressed air at low pressure. It is recommended to clean the device immediately after each use with a moist cloth and some soft soap. Harsh cleaning agents or solvents should be avoided as they can damage plastic parts. Care must be taken to prevent water from seeping into the device.

General Maintenance: The manual states that there are no parts inside the equipment that require additional maintenance. This implies that the design prioritizes durability and minimal user intervention for internal components.

Ordering Spare Parts: In case of needing spare parts, customers are advised to quote the type of machine, article number, identification number, and the replacement part number of the required part. Information on prices and ordering can be found on www.einhell.com.au.

Disposal and Recycling: The unit is supplied in packaging designed to prevent transit damage. This packaging is made of raw materials that can be reused or returned to a raw material system. The unit and its accessories are made of various materials, including metal and plastic. Defective components must be disposed of as special waste, and users should consult their dealer or local council for proper disposal advice. Electric tools should never be placed in household refuse; local waste authorities should be consulted for correct disposal.
