Do you have a question about the EINHELL TC-AC 190 OF Set and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

This document describes the Einhell TC-AC 190 OF Set, a portable compressor designed for generating compressed air to power various tools and for inflating items. It emphasizes safe and proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Function Description

The Einhell TC-AC 190 OF Set is a compact and portable compressor primarily intended for generating compressed air. This compressed air can be used for a variety of applications, including powering compressed air-driven tools, inflating tires, and blowing out dust or debris from hard-to-reach areas. The compressor is designed for ease of use and portability, making it suitable for tasks around the home or in a workshop environment. It features an On/Off switch for simple operation and an accessory compartment for convenient storage of various adapters.

Usage Features

The compressor is straightforward to operate. Before use, it is crucial to ensure that the mains voltage matches the specifications on the rating plate. The compressor should be installed in a dry, well-ventilated area with an ambient temperature between +5 °C and +40 °C, free from dust, acids, vapors, explosive, or inflammable gases. It must be placed on a firm, level surface during operation. To start the compressor, the On/Off switch (4) is set to position 1, and to switch it off, the switch is moved to position 0.

The compressed air hose with a quick-lock coupling (3) allows for easy connection of air tools. To connect, the nipple of the air tool is inserted into the quick-lock coupling until the sleeve springs forward automatically. To disconnect, the sleeve is pulled back, and the tool is removed. It is important to hold the coupling piece firmly when disconnecting to prevent injury from the rebounding hose.

A key feature of this set is the tire pressure gauge with adapters (Fig. 2), which allows for precise inflation of tires. The working pressure range for this gauge is 0-8 bar. After inflating, the tire pressure should be verified with a calibrated gauge, such as one found at a petrol station. The tire pressure gauge comes with a valve adapter for car tire valves, and other valve types can be inflated using the supplied adapter set. The integrated relief valve (e) allows for reducing pressure if it becomes too high.

The equipment can also be used as a blow-out pistol (Fig. 3). To do this, the hose with the valve adapter for car tires must first be unscrewed and removed from the tire pressure gauge. The blow-out adapter (7) can then be screwed onto the tire pressure gauge. This configuration is useful for cleaning hollow spaces, hard-to-reach areas, and soiled equipment. The infinitely variable trigger lever allows for exact dosing of compressed air. It is important not to exceed the maximum permissible operating pressure of 8 bar and never to direct the jet of compressed air at people or animals. When inflating objects, care must be taken not to exceed recommended pressure levels to avoid damage or harm.

The adapter set includes a ball needle (Fig. 4) for inflating various balls. To prevent valve damage, the needle should be slightly moistened before insertion. A valve adapter (Fig. 5) is provided for Dunlop and Presta cycle tire valves. Additionally, a conical universal adapter (Fig. 6) is included for inflating airbeds and similar items.

In case of an abnormal or emergency situation, the operation should be stopped, the equipment switched off, and the power plug pulled out. After use, the equipment should be switched off, the power plug removed, and all accessories disconnected. If cleaning or repair is needed, the equipment should be allowed to cool down first. Regular checks for signs of damage are recommended.

Maintenance Features

Regular cleaning and maintenance are essential for the safe and efficient operation of the compressor. Before performing any cleaning or maintenance, the power plug must be pulled out, and the compressor allowed to cool down completely to avoid burns.

For cleaning, all safety devices, air vents, and the motor housing should be kept free of dirt and dust. The equipment can be wiped with a clean cloth or blown down with compressed air at low pressure. It is recommended to clean the equipment immediately after each use. A damp cloth with some soft soap can be used, but aggressive cleaning agents or solvents should be avoided as they can damage plastic parts. Care must be taken to prevent water from entering the equipment's interior, as this poses a risk of electric shock. The hose and any spraying tools should be disconnected from the compressor before cleaning.

The equipment is designed with no internal parts requiring additional maintenance by the user. However, if excessive sparking occurs, the carbon brushes should be checked by a qualified electrician. Replacement of carbon brushes should only be performed by a qualified electrician.

For storage, the mains plug should be pulled out, the appliance and all connected pneumatic tools ventilated, and the compressor switched off and secured to prevent unauthorized starting. The compressor should be stored in a dry location, upright, and not tilted, out of reach of children.

In case of a damaged power cable, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service, or similarly trained personnel to avoid danger.

Troubleshooting information is provided for common issues such as the compressor not starting, starting but having no pressure, or starting with pressure but tools not operating. Solutions typically involve checking power supply, extension cables, seals, hose connections, and quick-lock couplings, or seeking service from a qualified center.

The equipment and its packaging materials are not toys and should be kept away from children to prevent choking hazards. For disposal, the equipment should not be placed in household refuse but taken to a suitable collection center for proper recycling in accordance with national and European directives.
