Usage Features

The microwave oven features a 7-digit Interactive Display that guides users through operating steps and provides cooking hints. A "HELP" indicator lights up to offer specific assistance.

  • Before Operating: Users must plug in the oven, close the door, and touch the "Clear/Off" pad, then set the clock. The display shows "WELCOME PRESS CLEAR AND PRESS CLOCK" upon initial power-up or after a power interruption.
  • Clear/Off Pad: Used to erase mistakes, cancel the timer, temporarily stop cooking, return to time of day display, or cancel a program (double-tap).
  • Time Cooking: Allows programming for up to 99 minutes and 99 seconds. Users enter the cooking time and then touch the "START" pad.
  • Power Level: Offers eleven preset power levels (0% to 100%), allowing adjustment for various foods. Lower power levels are recommended for delicate foods like cheese or milk, and for long, slow cooking of meats.
  • Manual Defrost: For foods not covered by Speed Defrost or Auto Defrost charts, users can manually defrost using Power Level 30%. The general rule of thumb is approximately 4 minutes per pound.
  • Sensor Cooking: A semiconductor device detects vapor (moisture and humidity) emitted from food to automatically adjust cooking times and power levels for various foods and quantities. This feature works best with dry containers and foods at normal storage temperature. It includes settings for "Sensor Reheat," "Popcorn," "Fresh Veggie," "Ground Meat," "Frozen Entrees," "Frozen Snacks," "Rice," "Fish," and "Poultry."
  • Sensor Reheat: Reheats foods by detecting vapor. Options include "Turntable On Stirrable" (e.g., macaroni and cheese) and "Turntable Off Non-stirrable" (e.g., lasagna).
  • Rack: Allows for 2-level cooking/reheating, but manual time and power level settings are required. It is advised to avoid using browning dishes or special features with the rack.
  • One-Touch Cooking: Features three convenient pads for meal preparation: "Breakfast Items," "Lunch Items," and "Dinner Items."
    • Breakfast Items: Prepares popular breakfast foods like scrambled eggs, bacon, hot cereal, heat rolls/muffins (fresh or frozen), and frozen breakfast foods.
    • Lunch Items: Heats/cooks foods like meal in a cup, hot dogs in buns, soup, microwave pizza, and frozen sandwiches.
    • Dinner Items: Cooks various dinners, including ground beef, chicken, beef or pork, seafood, and vegetarian options, with specific recipes provided in the manual.
  • Speed Defrost: Rapidly defrosts specific foods (ground meat, boneless poultry, bone-in poultry) based on weight.
  • Auto Defrost: Automatically defrosts foods like ground meat, steaks/chops/fish, bone-in poultry, roast, casserole, and soup. Users enter the weight, and the oven prompts for turning food over or shielding warm portions.
  • More or Less Time Adjustment: Allows users to adjust sensor or one-touch cooking settings to be slightly "more done" (touch Power Level once) or "less done" (touch Power Level twice).
  • START Pad: Initiates cooking at 100% power. Can be used continuously for up to 3 minutes for tasks like melting cheese.
  • Turntable On/Off: The turntable can be turned off for extra-large dishes that do not rotate.
  • Timer: Sets a countdown timer independently of cooking functions.
  • Pause: Allows pausing during multiple sequence cooking.
  • Auto Fan: The exhaust fan can be set to operate for a specified number of minutes at high or low speed.
  • Fan Hi/Lo: Manually controls the exhaust fan speed (high, low, or off). The fan automatically activates when heat rises from the range surface units.
  • Work Light: Turns the light illuminating the cooking surface on or off.
  • Night Light: Turns a lower-intensity light on or off for ambient kitchen lighting.
  • Child Lock: Deactivates the control panel to prevent unintended operation. Activated by touching "Help," then "1," then "START." Deactivated by touching "Help," then "Clear/Off."
  • Audible Signal Elimination: Turns off audible signals. Activated by touching "Help," then "2," then "Clear/Off." Restored by touching "Help," then "2," then "START."

  • Work Light and Night Light Bulb Replacement: Disconnect power, remove the screw on the light cover, and replace bulbs with equivalent watt bulbs (max 30W).
  • Microwave Oven Light Bulb Replacement: Disconnect power, open the light cover behind the filter mounting, replace the bulb (max 30W), and reassemble.
