Choosea placenear a groundedelectricaloutlet
Donot usean extensioncordor anadapterplug
Avoiddirect sunlightand closeproximityto a range,dishwasherorother
heatsource
Floorshould be leveland ableto supporta fullyloadedrefrigerator
Therefrigerator'sice & Water Dispenserrequireswater supplyaccess
Planfor easyaccessto countertopswhen removingfood
Forcompleteaccessto drawersandfreezer baskets,doorsmustbe able to
fully open
Allow the followingclearancesfor easeof installation,properair circulation,and
plumbingandelectricalconnections:
Sides& Top:3/8inch Rear: 1inch
2 Transport Unpackaged Refrigerator To Site
Bynow,you havealready removedyour refrigerator'sshippingcarton Youmay
still needto usea handtruckto moveit throughdose spacesor entrances if the
refrigeratoris largerthanan entrance,considertwooptions:
Removethe entrancedoorif oneexists
Removethe refrigeratordoors(see how in yourUse& CareGuide)
When usinga handtruck:
Loadrefrigeratorfromside ofcabinetonly
Donot runretainingstraps over handles
Donot over-tightenretainingstraps
Neveruse refrigeratorhandlesto movethe refrigerator
Removetapefrom doors onlyafter unitis in place
3 Connect Water Supply
What you will need:
Accessto acold waterline
with pressureof
20-I00 psi
1
Coppertubingwith ¼-inch
(64ram)OD. Lengthfor thi_
tubingis thedistancefrom
therear of therefrigeratorto your household
watersupplyline plus 7 feet (2.1meters)
Ashut-offvalvefor theconnectionbetweenyourhousehold
waterfineand the refrigeratorsupplyfine
Donot use aself-piercingshut-offvalve
A compressionnutandferrule(sleeve)forthe watersupply
connectionat therear ofyour refrigerator
Toconnect the water supply to the rear of your refrigerator:
! Ensurethattherefrigeratoris notpluggedin
2 Flushthesupplyfineuntil wateris clearby placingtheend of the
coppertube in a sinkor bucketand openingthe shut-offvalve
3 Unscrewthe plasticcap fromthewatervalve inbt atthe rearof
your refrigerator Discardthe cap
4 Slide the brasscompressionnut,thenthe ferrule(sleeve)onto
copper tube
5 Pushthecoppertube intowatervalveinlet as faras itwill go
(1/4 inch)
6 Slide the ferrule (sleeve)intovalveand finger-tightenthe
compressionnut ontovalve Tightenanotherhalf turnwith a
wrench Do not over=tighten
7 Securethe coppertube toyour refrigerator'srearpanelwith a
steel clamp and screw(seei%stration)
8 Coil theexcesscoppertubing(about2%turns) behindyour
refrigeratoras shown Arrangeco%d tubingto avoid vibrationor
wear againstother surfaces
9 Openwatersupply shut-offvalveand tightenanyconnections
that leak
Piece in Permanent Position
Ifpossible,usea handtruckto positionthe refrigeratordirectlyinfront of
itscabinetenclosure
Becareful not tomovethe refrigeratorbeyonditswatersupply(copper
tubing) connections
Pluginthe powercord, and pushthe rdrigerator straightback into
place.
5 Leve_Refrigerator&Adjust Doors(ifnecessary)
Guidelinesfor finalpositioningof yourrefrigerator:
, Allfour cornersofthe cabinetmustrest firmly
on the floor
, The cabinetshouldbe level atthe frontand rear
, The sidesshouldtilt _Adnch(6 ram)fromfront to back
(to ensurethat doorsdose and sealproperly).
, Doorsshouldalign witheach otherand belevel
All of theseconditionscan bemet by raisingor loweringthe
adjustablefront rollers
Toadjust the front rollers:
! Open bothdoorsand removethe toegrille by
unscrewingitstwo mountingscrewsandgently pulling
forward(see illustration)
2 Closethe doorsand use afiat-bladescrewdriveror3/
8-inchsocketwrenchto raiseor lowerthe front rollers
3 Ensureboth doorsare bind-freewith theirseals
touchingthecabineton all foursides.
4 Replacethe toe grilleby fittingit intoplace and
refasteningits mountingscrews
