Usage Features

Control Panel: Features a digital display (TEMP. indicator) and multiple buttons:

  • Power (ن): Turns the unit on or off.
  • Filter Reset ( ): Illuminates after 250 hours of operation, indicating the air filter needs cleaning. Pressing it clears the light and resets the timer.
  • Fan Speed ( ): Selects fan speed (auto, high, medium, low). Not available in auto fan speed for fan mode.
  • Temperature Adjustment (+/-): Adjusts the setting temperature from 16°C (60°F) to 32°C (90°F) in 1°C/°F increments. Pressing both simultaneously for >3s toggles between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
  • Mode ( ): Cycles through operating modes: auto, cool, dry, fan, heat (heat-pump type). Cool-only units do not have a heating function.
  • Sleep Mode ( ): Enters sleep mode for 8 hours, then reverts to previous status. Not available in fan and dry modes.
  • Timer ( ): Sets an off-timer when the unit is on, or an on-timer when the unit is off. The display shows remaining time.
  • Swing ( ): Illuminates the swing indicator light, activating the automatic wind sweep function.

Operating Modes:

  • Heating Mode (HR/N6 models only): Set desired temperature and fan speed.
  • Cooling Mode: Set desired temperature and fan speed.
  • Drying Mode: Fan runs at a fixed low speed; temperature and fan speed cannot be adjusted. Windows and doors should be closed for optimal dehumidifying.
  • Fan Operation Mode: Select fan speed; temperature cannot be adjusted.

Water Drainage:

  • Dehumidifying Mode: Requires manual drainage by removing the upper drain plug and attaching a drain hose.
  • Water Full Indicator: "PI" symbol and "WATER FULL" light illuminate when the bottom tray is full. The unit needs to be moved to a drain location, the bottom drain plug removed, and the water drained.
  • Pump Drain Outlet (if equipped): For continuous drainage, remove the pump drain plug and attach a drain hose.

Installation:

  • Location: Flat, spacious area, at least 50cm clearance from walls/obstacles. Gradient should not exceed 10 degrees. Not for use in laundry rooms.
  • Exhaust Duct: Required for cooling, heating, and drying modes. Can be installed in a window (using a window slider kit) or through a wall (using a wall exhaust adaptor). The duct can be compressed (min 270mm) and extended (max 1500mm) but should be kept as short as possible and not excessively stretched or bent for optimal efficiency.
  • Electrical Connection: Must be plugged into a properly installed and grounded individual socket. Do not use extension cords or plug adaptors.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning the Unit:

  • Exterior: Clean gently with a wrung towel using tepid water (below 40°C/104°F).
  • Safety Precaution: Always shut down the unit and cut off electricity for at least 5 minutes before cleaning to avoid electric shocks.
  • Prohibited Cleaners: Do not use gasoline, benzene, thinner, other chemicals, or liquid insecticides, as these can damage paint and plastic parts. Do not pour water directly onto the unit.

Cleaning the Air Filter:

  • Removal: Remove the upper and lower air filters. Some models may require removing a screw for the low air intake grille.
  • Cleaning: Use a vacuum cleaner or rinse with water. For very dirty filters, use warm water (below 40°C/104°F) with mild detergent.
  • Drying: Dry the filter in the shade.
  • Reinstallation: Reinstall the dried filter in reverse order of removal.
  • Filter Reset Indicator: The "Filter Reset" light ( ) will illuminate after 250 hours of operation, prompting filter cleaning.

Long-Term Storage: If not using the unit for a long time, drain any inside water by pulling out the rubber plug.

Troubleshooting: The manual provides a table of possible causes and solutions for common issues like the unit not operating, poor cooling/heating effect, or noise/vibration.

Refrigerant System Maintenance (R290):

  • Qualified Personnel: Maintenance and repair involving R290 refrigerant must be performed by specially trained and qualified personnel.
  • Safety Precautions: Strict safety measures are outlined, including site inspection for flammable hazards, use of appropriate refrigerant detectors, fire extinguishing equipment, anti-static precautions, and ensuring adequate ventilation.
  • Leak Detection: Electronic leak detection instruments suitable for R290 must be used.
  • Refrigerant Recovery and Charging: Detailed procedures for safe removal, vacuum pumping, and charging of R290 refrigerant are provided, emphasizing the use of inert gases (oxygen-free nitrogen) and specialized equipment.

Warranty: The product comes with a two-year warranty from the purchase date, covering defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty is voided by misuse, poor maintenance, unauthorized repairs, or failure to follow manual instructions. Support is available through the dealer.

Recycling: The time-expired appliance should not be disposed of with household waste and must be collected separately according to local regulations (2012/19/EU directive).
