How to stop pilling when using my Electrolux EWMED65H?
    • A
      Anna MillerSep 4, 2025
To address pilling on fabrics in your Electrolux Washer/Dryer, use a lint brush or shaver to remove the pills. Using fabric softener can lubricate the fibers. Turn items inside out to reduce abrasion. When ironing, apply spray starch or fabric finish on collars and cuffs.

Why is the drum finish scratching in my Electrolux Dryer?
    • C
      Cassie PhillipsSep 18, 2025
Scratching or chipping of the drum finish in your Electrolux Dryer can be caused by foreign objects such as coins, pins, clips, or buttons inside the dryer. Always remove foreign objects from pockets before laundering. Remove any objects from the drum and restart the dryer. Permanently attached items such as belt buckles, zippers, and fasteners may also hit the inside of the drum. Sew a scrap of material securely around ornaments before drying to prevent scratching and damage to the dryer.

If the LCD of your Electrolux Dryer displays “DEMO MODE”, the dryer has been programmed to temporarily perform a repeating demo cycle. To exit this mode, turn the cycle selector knob to SPIN ONLY/TIME DRY cycle, then press the START button and the CANCEL button. Or, activate the controls by turning the cycle selector knob and turn to TIME DRY cycle. Alternatively, for IQ Touch models, press and hold the CANCEL button and CTRL LOCK button for 3 seconds; for Wave Touch models, press and hold the CANCEL button and EXTENDED TUMBLE (third button from the left) for 3 seconds.

How to stop my Electrolux Dryer from shrinking clothes?
    • M
      manuel71Sep 13, 2025
Shrinking in the Electrolux Dryer can occur if the temperature is too high; this condition is irreversible. Overdrying can also cause shrinking, so follow fabric care label directions. If shrinking is a concern, check the load often and remove items while slightly damp, then hang or lay flat to complete drying. Block knits into shape.

How to prevent wrinkling in Electrolux Dryer?
    • K
      Kristen DominguezSep 12, 2025
If your clothes are wrinkling in the Electrolux Dryer, it could be due to overloading. Try reducing the load size and tumble the items at medium or low heat for 5-10 minutes. Also, remove items immediately after the cycle ends and hang or fold them promptly.

Why is my Electrolux Dryer taking so long and feels hot?
    • S
      Samantha RyanSep 9, 2025
If the Electrolux Dryer's drying cycle is taking too long, the outside feels too hot, or you smell something hot, it could be due to several reasons. First, ensure the lint filter is clean before each cycle. The exhaust duct must be at least 4 inches in diameter and made of rigid or semi-rigid metal, with no more than two 90-degree bends, and not exceed the length listed in the installation instructions. Clean any obstructions from the outside exhaust hood or duct. If you have an electric dryer connected to a 208-volt circuit, drying time will be 20% longer than on a 240-volt circuit. High humidity can also extend drying times, so consider using a dehumidifier nearby.

Why is my Electrolux Washer/Dryer running but not heating?
    • S
      Stephanie SmithAug 21, 2025
If your Electrolux Washer/Dryer runs but doesn't heat, check the following: For electric models, ensure both house fuses in the dryer circuit are intact, replacing any blown fuses. For gas models, verify the gas supply valve is open. Also, gas models need sufficient air supply to support the burner flame, so refer to the INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. Finally, ensure the LP gas supply tank isn't empty and that there are no natural gas utility interruptions.
