Electrolux air-o-chill
Blast Chiller/Freezers 50kg 10GN1/1
Chilling means bringing the temperature of cooked food from +90ºC to +3°C in a short time lap which does not allow
bacterial growth .Electrolux Blast Chillers/Freezers reduce temperature from +90ºC to +3°C at food core in less than 90
minutes and down to -18ºC in less than four hours: the model detailed on this sheet performs this cycle up to a 50 kg full
load. After the Blast Chilling/freezing process a holding cycle starts automatically to respectively maintain food at +3 and
-18 °C. Blast freezed food has a solid 6 months/1 year shelf life without loss of flavour, nutritional values and weight. The
opportunity to prepare in a single shot the food to be used in different times during the week enables a better work
scheduling and therefore a sensible reduction in labour costs.
OPERATING MODES
Cruise [Patent Pending]: the chiller
automatically sets the parameters for
the quickes and best chilling (it works
by probe).
Soft Chilling (Air temperature –2°C).
Hard Chilling (Air temperature
–20°C).
Shock freezing (Air temperature -35
ºC.)
Holding at +3°C or -18ºC
(automatically activited at the end of
each cycle).
All the probe-driven cycles feature
ARTE (Algorithm for Remaining Time
Estimation) [Patent Pending] to make
planning the activities easier.
Holding at +3°C (automatically
activated at the end of each cycle).
Turbo cooling: the chiller works
continuously at the desired
temperature. Ideal for continuous
production.
It is possible to operate by time or
by probe.
The control unit provides different
operating settings: time/core
temperature according to NF and UK
regulations, time/air
temperature/probe personalised
according to national regulations,
sterilizing cycle: UV lamps built-in (on
request), 3 core temperature probes
(on request), one 3-sensor probe (on
request) ideal for meats, automatic
defrosting and manual defrosting
(recommended after every shock
freezing cycle). All setting are
programmable.
The control unit provides two large
displays to read out: time, core
temperature, cycle countdown,
alarms, service information.
Programs memory: two for each
operating modes, setting time and air
temperature. These programs can be
converted into ice-cream specialist
cycles (shape maintainment and
holding).
All information related to the
different operating models are
recorded: date, time, cycle, core
temperature, holding temperature,
HACCP accordance.
An audible alarm starts when the
cycle ends or terminates abnormally.

PERFORMANCE
Blast Chilling cycle: 50 kg from
+90°C up to + 3°C in less than 90
minutes.
Blast Freezing cycle : 50 kg from
90ºC up to -18 ºC in less than four
hours.
Chilling and freezing times can vary
according to food quantity, density,
moisture contents and type of
containers. Chilling capacity
according to NF* regulations is 18 kg.

How to eliminate odors in my Electrolux Freezer?
    • Y
      yburnettJul 26, 2025
If your Electrolux Freezer has unpleasant odors, it could be due to a few reasons. First, the interior might need cleaning. Use a sponge with warm water and baking soda to clean it, and replace the air filter. Second, strong odors can come from the foods stored inside. Make sure to cover food tightly to prevent odors.

Why does moisture form on the inside walls of my Electrolux ?
    • A
      Ashley AdamsJul 30, 2025
Moisture forming on the inside walls of your Electrolux Freezer can be caused by a couple of things. It's normal for moisture to appear when the weather is hot and humid, as this increases the rate of frost buildup inside. Also, check if the door is slightly open or being opened too often or kept open too long. If so, refer to the “DOOR PROBLEMS” section and try to open the door less frequently.

What to do if the Electrolux Freezer door will not close?
    • J
      John KennedyAug 3, 2025
If the door of your Electrolux Freezer won't close, it might be because the freezer isn't level. A freezer that rocks on the floor can force the cabinet out of square, misaligning the door. Refer to the “LEVELING” section for instructions. Also, an uneven or weak floor might be the cause. Ensure the floor can adequately support the freezer and level it by using wood or metal shims.

Why is my Electrolux Freezer making a vibrating or rattling noise?
    • D
      david73Aug 7, 2025
A vibrating or rattling noise in your Electrolux Freezer can stem from a few sources. Check if the freezer is level; if it rocks when moved slightly, it needs leveling. Refer to the “LEVELING” section. An uneven or weak floor might also cause this; ensure the floor supports the freezer adequately and use shims for leveling. Lastly, ensure the freezer isn't touching the wall. If it is, re-level or move it slightly; again, refer to the “LEVELING” section.

How to fix the light that is not on in my Electrolux ?
    • H
      hrodriguezAug 12, 2025
If the light in your Electrolux Freezer isn't working, there could be a few reasons. The LED or light bulb might be burned out; follow the directions under “INTERIOR LIGHTING” in the “FREEZER FEATURES” section. Also, check if the freezer is receiving electric current; see “FREEZER DOES NOT RUN”. Finally, the control might be in Sabbath mode. If 'Sb' is displayed on the control, press the TEMP MODE and CONTROL LOCK keys for 3 seconds.

Why does my Electrolux Freezer make a popping or cracking sound when the compressor turns on?
    • D
      Daisy GarnerAug 16, 2025
The popping or cracking sound you hear when the compressor comes on in your Electrolux Freezer is normal. It's caused by metal parts expanding and contracting, similar to hot water pipes. The sound should level off or disappear as the freezer continues to run.

    Christopher ColemanAug 20, 2025
What does bubbling or gurgling sound mean in Electrolux Freezer?
    • W
      walter49Aug 20, 2025
A bubbling or gurgling sound in your Electrolux Freezer is normal. It indicates that the freezer fluid, used to cool the refrigerator, is circulating throughout the system.
