with
black
plastic
valve
fits
into
larger
diameter
hole
(Fig.
10).
Note:
When
cleaning
hard
floors
place
the
adaptor
onfo
the
nozzle
(see
fig.
12).
USING
THE
APPLIANCE
TO
SHAMPOO
Press
the
on/off
switch
on
the
upper
part
of
the
appliance
to
start
the
motor.
Position
the
nozzle
in
working
position
on
the
floor,
pull
the
trigger
and
wait
for
a
few
seconds
until
the
shampoo
starts
to
spray
from
the
nozzle.
Start
to
clean
the
surface
from
the
point
furthest
from
the
entrance
door
of
the
room.
Draw
the
nozzle
slowly
towards
yourself,
pressing
the
trigger
and
gently
holding
the
nozzie
against
the
carpet
(see
Fig.
17
e
12).
Release
the
trigger
and
go
over
the
cleaned
area
several
times
to
dry.
Continue
the
cleaning
operation
parallel
to
the
area
already
cleaned,
with
a
slight
overlap
to
ensure
that
no
part
of
the
surface
is
left
untreated.
To
remove
the
shampoo
tubing
press
the
button
on
the
top
of
the
connector
until
the
tubing
pops
out
(see
fig.
11).
To
remove
the
air
tubing,
turn
anti-clockwise
and
pull
out.
Remove
shampoo
tank.
Before
storing
the
appliance
rinse
out
the
shampoo
tank
and
dirty
water
drum.
Always
ensure
that
the
dirty
water/dust
tank
is
dry
before
replacing
the
dustbag
and
dry
filters.
Cable
storage
After
use
the
cable
can
be
wound
around
the
storage
area
beneath
the
power
unit
(Fig.
13).
FILTER
CLEANING
(Fig.
14)
IMPORTANT
It
is
essential
fo
keep
all
filters
clean
and
unclogged.
For
efficent
performance
all
filters
should
be
checked
for
blockages
regularly
in
the
following
way.
Paper
filfer
Keep
a
small
stock
of
these
and
fit
a
new
one
when
the
old
one
becomes
clogged.
Cloth
filter
Brush
the
filter,
wash
if
with
soapy
water,
then
dry
if
completely
and
return
if
to
its
housing.
Round
foam
motor
filter
(Fig.
6
and
6a).
This
is
housed
inside
the
basket.
Check
regularly.
To
clean
remove
the
basket
by
twisting
and
gently
pulling
it
away
from
the
power
unit.
Wash
the
filter
in
warm
water
and
dry
thoroughly.
Repiace
it
in
the
slots
