Unpack the loudspeakers, crossovers and accessories and check if all parts are contained and
undamaged, as listed below:
• 2 mid/woofers ECP25XT4 / ECP26XT4
• 2 tweeters ECP-XT4 tweeters with mounting adapters
• 2 crossovers ECP25XT4 / ECP26XT4
• 2 plastic trim rings / metal mesh grilles
• 1 set of wiring hardware for tweeter and mid / woofer
• 1 set of tweeter mounting hardware
The first step of a sucessful install is to choose the best mounting locations for the tweeters and
mid/woofers. Usually, cars come with factory speaker openings for mid/woofers, and the ECP-XT4
sets are designed to fit a great variety of Euro-DIN bolt-hole patterns and cutouts. If you can not
mount the mid/woofers to an existing factory cutout, the alternative is to buy a set of car specific
doorboards, to provide a stable platform for the ECP-XT4 mid/woofer mounting. In such a case,
we reccomend to consult your EMPHASER dealer to ask for his assistance.
