Congratulations on purchasing this fine audio product. We want your audio experience to be
fun and exciting, without damage to your health. Take a little time to understand how to
operate your product at safe levels and avoid hearing damage to yourself and others. Proper
use will protect your product and yourself.
Sound can be deceiving. Over time your hearing comfort level adapts to a higher volume of
sound. What may have started out as uncomfortable loudness has become tolerable. Although
your tolerance may have increased, your hearing is still be exposed to harmful levels.
Prolonged exposure to harmful levels will cause damage that cannot be repaired. Now what
sounds normal can actually be loud and harmful. Guard against this by setting your equipment
at a safe level BEFORE your hearing adapts.
Establish safe levels of sound by always starting with your volume set to low, then gradually
increase to comfortable levels. If you hear distortion in the sound, it's a good indication your
equipment is being pushed to its limits and the volume is too high.
Used wisely, your sound equipment will provide a lifetime of fun and enjoyment. Hearing
damage from loud noise is often undetectable until is too late. This manufacturer and the
Electronic Industries Association’s Consumer Electronics Group recommend you avoid
prolonged exposure to excessive noise. Below is a list of sound levels and their decibel ratings.
