This document provides a comprehensive guide for the Emmeti EOSH-XX22 series of outdoor air conditioning units, covering installation, operation, maintenance, and technical specifications.
Function Description:
The Emmeti EOSH-XX22 is an outdoor unit for "Split System" air conditioners, designed for air-to-air heat exchange. It works in conjunction with an indoor unit to provide climate control for an environment. All functions of the air conditioner are operated via an infrared remote control. The system utilizes R32 refrigerant, a fluorinated greenhouse gas with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 675. This means that 1 kg of R32 released into the atmosphere has 675 times the impact on global warming as 1 kg of CO2 over a 100-year period. Therefore, it is crucial to handle the refrigerant responsibly and never release it into the atmosphere. The unit is designed for both cooling and heating operations, with specific operating limits for outdoor temperatures.

Usage Features:
- Installation: Requires qualified and authorized personnel. The outdoor unit should be placed on a stable, level surface, at least 10 cm above ground, with anti-vibration pads. Minimum operational spaces for maintenance are specified (e.g., >300 mm front, >600 mm rear, >300 mm sides, >2000 mm top, >600 mm bottom). For multiple outdoor units, adequate distances must be maintained to ensure proper airflow and ease of maintenance.
- Refrigerant Piping: Copper pipes (CU DHP type, UNI EN 12735-1) are required. Proper flaring and insulation (closed-cell polyurethane foam, at least 9 mm thick) are essential to prevent leaks and ensure efficient operation. A siphon oil trap is recommended for indoor units installed more than 5 meters below the outdoor unit.
- Electrical Connections: Dedicated power supply with a magneto-thermal differential switch is mandatory. All cables must be approved according to IEC standards, with a minimum cross-section of 1.5 mm². Proper grounding is crucial for safety.
- First Start-up (Test Running): Must be performed in cooling mode. Before starting, ensure all piping, electrical connections, and refrigerant charging are correctly completed. Verify correct voltage supply and fully open stop valves. Test each indoor unit individually in both cooling and heating modes, then test simultaneous operation.
- Refrigerant Charging: R32 refrigerant must be introduced in liquid phase using a vacuum pump and manifold gauges specifically designed for R32. Never mix R32 with other refrigerants.
- Safety Warnings:
- Do not install near flammable gas sources or excessive vapor.
- Avoid blocking air inlet/outlet grilles.
- Do not place objects on the unit or climb on it.
- Do not direct airflow directly at people, plants, or animals.
- Do not disassemble the louver of the outdoor unit; fan exposure is dangerous.
- Use appropriate fuses and ensure proper grounding.
- In case of abnormal phenomena (e.g., burning smell), immediately disconnect power and contact authorized service.
Maintenance Features:
- General Maintenance: Installation and maintenance activities must be performed by qualified and authorized personnel.
- Troubleshooting: The outdoor unit control board provides visual signals (error codes) for various malfunctions, including EEPROM errors, overcurrents, communication failures, sensor errors, and compressor issues. A detailed table in the manual helps diagnose these issues and suggests corrective actions (e.g., checking wiring, replacing components, verifying refrigerant charge).
- Disposal:
- Old Air Conditioner: Must be disposed of separately from municipal waste at appropriate collection centers. Refrigerant must be recovered and not released into the atmosphere.
- Packaging: Cardboard, plastic, and polystyrene packaging materials should be separated and recycled according to local regulations.
- Batteries: Remote control batteries must be disposed of separately at designated collection centers. Chemical symbols (Hg, Cd, Pb) indicate the presence of heavy metals.
- Warranty: Emmeti provides a 24-month warranty from the first start-up or installation date, provided it is within 12 months of the purchase invoice date from Emmeti. The warranty covers manufacturing defects and requires installation by qualified personnel according to regulations and manual instructions. It excludes damages from improper maintenance, negligence, unauthorized repairs, normal wear and tear, environmental events, or transport damage.
