Description
The Gecko Heater-Controller is the heart of the Water Quality System across the Endless Pools product line. The Gecko
carries the programming needed for all product configurations. The replacement controller’s programming (low-level) MUST
be configured once power is introduced to the system.
Replacing & Programming Gecko Heater-Controller:
Refer to the following instructions for replacing and programming the Gecko Heater-Controller. The controller MUST be
programmed for the appropriate configuration to function. Refer to the chart on the following page for the correct low-level
configuration for the product purchased.
1. Isolate the existing heater-controller by closing ball valves and/or plugging the water quality system thru-wall
penetrations. Remove the heater-controller from the Water Quality System plumbing.
2. Install the replacement Gecko and re-introduce water by opening ball valves and/or unplugging thru-wall penetrations.
Inspect all union connections to ensure there are no leaks.
3. Re-supply power to the Water Quality System. The heater-controller will go through a boot-up cycle which can take
up to 5 minutes. Once the keypad is displaying LL and a blinking 2, the low-level configuration can be
programmed.
4. Press the up button until the keypad display reads LLX (X = correct low-level). Then press the light button
to store the programming configuration. If the light button is not pressed within 25 seconds, then the
programming change will not take effect.
5. The system will go through another boot-up cycle after the programming change. DO NOT press any buttons during
the boot-up cycle. Once the boot up cycle is complete, the temperature of the water will be displayed on the keypad.
Changing the Low-Level Programming of the Gecko Heater-Controller:
1. On the keypad, press and hold the pump 1 button until the display is blinking, LL# (# = current low-level
program) Note: It will take up to 30 seconds for this to happen. The display will blink OFF and then display the time
and temperature before the LL# is displayed.
2. Refer to the chart on the following page for the correct low-level configuration based off the product purchased. Press
the up button until the keypad display reads LLX (X = correct low-level). Then press the light button
to store the programming configuration. If the light button is not pressed within 25 seconds, then the
programming change will not take effect.
3. The system will go through a boot-up cycle after the programming change. DO NOT press any buttons during the
boot-up cycle. Once the boot up cycle is complete, the temperature of the water will be displayed on the keypad.
