5.0 OPERATION (See Figure 3)
5.1 Inserting the Handle
The handle included with the Track Jack is especially
designed for this purpose. DO NOT use the handle for any
other uses. DO NOT use anything besides this handle to raise
the jack.
Insert the handle (E) into the jack and turn
clockwise to lock it in place.
5.2 Raising the Load
DANGER: The jack must be fully engaged on the load
and stable before lifting can occur.
WARNING: The Track Jack, MUST be set on a firm
surface capable of bearing the load.
WARNING: DO NOT overtighten the release knob or
you will damage the seat. The release knob is knurled
and designed to be ‘finger tight’. Use of pliers will
damage the seat and cause leaks in the system.
1. Turn the release valve clockwise until ‘finger tight’.
2. Pump the handle until the desired height is reached.
3. Once the desired height has been reached, remove the
handle from the jack.
4. Block or crib the load to keep it from
dropping accidentally.
5.3 Lowering the Load
DANGER: BEFORE the load is lowered, make sure all
objects and personnel are clear of the area.
1. Remove blocking or cribbing.
DANGER: The lowering speed is controlled by the
amount the release valve is opened. The more the
valve is opened, the faster the lowering speed. DO
NOT open the valve more than two full turns.
2. Turn the release valve counterclockwise very slowly to
control the lowering speed.
3. Close the release valve ‘finger tight’ when the load
reaches the desired level.
5.4 Horizontal Operation
WARNING: BEFORE jacking, make sure all objects and
personnel are clear of the items to be moved.
With the handle socket placed upwards, the Track Jack can be
use to separate items horizontally.
1. Place the base of the jack against the least moveable of
the objects to be separated.
WARNING: DO NOT overtighten the release knob or
you will damage the seat. The release knob is knurled
and designed to be ‘finger tight’. Use of pliers will
damage the seat and cause leaks in the system.
2. Close the release valve by turning it clockwise until
‘finger tight’.
3. Insert the handle into the jack and turn clockwise to lock
it in place.
4. Pump the handle to engage and move the load.
5. Once the load has reached the desired position, remove
the jack handle.
6. Open the release valve counterclockwise to remove
the jack.
6.0 MAINTENANCE
