Function Description

The Epson PowerLite 520/525W/530/535W series projectors are designed for displaying content from various sources, including computers, video devices, cameras, and USB storage devices. They support both wired and wireless network projection, allowing for flexible presentation and collaboration environments. The projectors offer features for image adjustment, remote control operation, and network management.

Usage Features

Connecting Devices: The projector offers multiple connection options:

  • Video Devices: Connect multiple video devices (RCA audio, RCA video, S-Video, HDMI, component video to VGA) and switch between them using the "Source Search" button on the projector or remote control.
  • Computer: Connect a computer via USB-B (square) port for USB Display functionality. Windows XP or later requires the Epson USB Display software (EMP_UDSE.EXE) installation, while OS X 10.5.8 or higher requires the USB Display Installer. Alternatively, connect a computer via VGA (Computer1 or Computer2 ports) or HDMI. For laptops, ensure the external display is activated.
  • Camera, USB Device, or Epson DC-06 Document Camera: Connect these devices to the projector's USB-A (flat) port. This enables the PC Free feature for displaying content directly from digital cameras, USB flash drives, or USB storage devices without a computer.

Turning On and Initial Setup:

  1. Turn on your computer or video source.
  2. Plug in the projector; the power light will turn blue.
  3. Press the power button on the projector or remote control. The projector will beep, and the Status light will flash blue, then stay on.
  4. To change the menu language, press the "Menu" button, navigate to "Extended," then "Language," select your preferred language, and press "Menu" to exit.

  • Correcting Image Shape (Keystone Correction): If the image is trapezoidal, position the projector directly in front of the screen. If repositioning is not possible, press the keystone correction buttons (up/down arrows) on the projector to open the keystone correction menu, then use the "Wide" or "Tele" buttons to correct the image.

Using the Remote Control: Ensure two AA batteries are installed. The remote control allows you to:

  • Use "Source Search" to choose the display source.
  • Access projector menus.
  • Switch between computer and interactive pen modes.
