Turn on the printer

Do not open the ink cartridge package until you are ready to install the ink.
Cartridges are vacuum packed to maintain reliability.

Remove all protective materials

Insert the cyan ink cartridge.

Press the stop button.
The cartridge holder
moves.

Do not connect to your
computer yet.

Load paper with the printable
side face up.

Don’t load the paper sideways; always load it
short edge first.

Install software

Do NOT connect the USB cable until prompted.

screen, click Cancel and disconnect the USB cable.

Ink priming takes about 2 minutes.
When the green power light stops
flashing, priming is complete.

Your printer ships with full cartridges and part of the ink from the first cartridges is
used for priming the printer.
Don’t turn off the printer while it is priming or you’ll waste ink.

Select printer, choose preferences, and configure print settings before printing.

Paper Jam Resolution

Follow steps to eject jammed paper by pushing levers or raising the cover.
