Install batteries in the remote by removing the back cover, inserting batteries correctly, and replacing the cover.
Avoid mixing old/new batteries or different battery types (Alkaline, carbon-zinc, rechargeable).
Activate the device by inserting the thimble into the side hole until the LED flashes. It is rechargeable.
