Press in the locking stud and push on the
covering cap.
Transport
- Let the engine cool down.
- Drain fuel tank.
- Secure the appliance against slipping and falling over during transportation.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
Problem Cause Solution
Engine fails to
start
- Empty fuel tank
- START/STOP switch set to
STOP
- Gas lever not locked at full
throttle
- Spark plug not correctly
installed
- Dirty spark plug
- Excess fuel in the combustion
chamber
- Spark plug gap is too large
- Wrong fuel mixture
- Defective spark plug
- Add fuel.
- Set START/STOP switch to START.
- Press in the fuel lever lock.
- Tighten the spark plug
- Clean the spark plug
- Release the fuel lever lock, set the
choke lever to RUN position and
start the motor a number of times.
If the motor does not start:
remove the spark plug and dry it.
- Reset the gap (0.6-0.7 mm)
- Drain the tank and fill with the
correct mixture
- Replace the spark plug
Motor runs too
quickly
- Motor is too cold
- Too short string
- Let the motor warm up slowly If
necessary set the choke lever
slightly higher.
- Adjust the string length if needed.
Motor does not
reach maximum
speed
- The air filter is dirty
- Dirt in the spark plug
- Spark plug gap is too large
- Wrong fuel mixture
- Clean the air filter
- Clean the spark plug
- Reset the gap (0.6-0.7 mm)
- Drain the tank and fill with the
correct mixture
Motor will not stop - Spark plug electrode is grey
and shows signs of
combustion.

Insert a spark plug with higher
stop temperature resistance.
