E. Cleaning & Maintenance
I. Self-Cleaning
The Descaling solid icon appears when appliance needs to undergo self-cleaning. The appliance will
remain in the best cond
on if this function is performed at least once a month or more regularly depending on
the hardness of the water used following these steps:
1. Fully fill the water tank.
2. Adding one pack of cleaning agent included in the box into the water tank.
IMPORTANT: Do not use vinegar or other cleaning agents to do self-cleaning of this appliance. Addi
onal
cleaning agents may damage the appliance.
3. Plug in the
appliance.
4. Place a su
iently large container under the co e spout.
5. In standby cond
on, press and hold the Power ON/OFF on
together with the Espresso button
for 5 seconds. Two beeps will be heard, then the Descaling Icon and the Espresso bu on
will be ashing.
6. Press the Espresso bu
on
to con rm undergoing the self-cleaning process. To resume back to the
standby cond
on, press the Power ON/OFF Bu on
.

The Descaling icon will be ashing indicates that the appliance is undergoing the self-cleaning
process. (Cau
n: Keep skin/b dy away f m the h t water.)
8. When all the water in the water tank has been dispensed, the Low water level/ Water tank missing icon
and Espresso bu on wil hing. Remove all the remaining solu on in the water tank and
ll the tank with normal tap water un e max posi on. The Low water level/ Water tank missing icon
goes o . Then the appliance will con ue the descaling process. The appliance will brew half of water
t and then wait for around 1 minute, a er that the remaining water in the tank will be brewed.
9. When the self-cleaning process is completed, the appliance will switch o
automatically. Rinse the water
tank and
l with clean tap water.
Note: Please wait un
l the descaling process has been thoroughly completed. The appliance will switch o
auto cally a the cycle is nished.
