USING THE MACHINE
- Make sure that the voltage corresponds to that indicated on the data label (A) and always
connect the grounding.
- Place the products to slice on the food chute (B).
- Turn the index knob (D) to obtain the desired thickness.
- Press the ON switch (E): The slicer is now ready to use. Make sure that the blade (F) rotates
counterclockwise. Never use your hands to hold the product. Always use the End Weight (C)
handle (I) to push the food chute (B).
CLEANING
- Remove the plug from the socket.
- Always wear protective gloves.
- Before cleaning, make sure the index knob (D) is set to zero.
- Always use only a soft cloth soaked in a solution of warm water and mild sanitizing
detergent, suitable for the treatment of food contact surfaces.
- Never use corrosive, flammable, or abrasive materials. Do not wash in the dishwasher and
never use water jets to clean the machine or its parts.
- To clean the blade, proceed as follows: Pull the food chute (B) the operator toward, loosen the
screw (L). Carefully remove the knife cover (G). Clean the blade and the knife cover using a
soft cloth soaked in warm water and mild detergent. The blade should be cleaned paying
particular attention, starting from the blade to the operator.
- After cleaning, replace the knife cover (G) and tighten the release screw (L).
- Clean the machine thoroughly after each use.
- Lubricate the sliding rods on the end weight, food chute and the shaft of the sharpener, by
putting a few drops of vaseline oil and distributing.
- Always use only vaseline oil for lubrication. Never seed oil or olive oil.
WARNINGS
- Never remove or tamper safety devices (H).
- This machine can slice all kinds of boneless salami. To slice bread and cheese please ask for
teflon blade. Never slice non-food products, products with bones, frozen food, fruits and
vegetables.
- To ensure proper operation of the machine periodically check the state of lubrication of the
sliding rods and the wear of components: feet, belt, power cord, blade and sharpener stone.
Contact a Service Center for replacement.
- Never use the machine for longer than 15 minutes continued, followed by a break of at least
15 minutes.
- Please remember that ESSEDUE can not anticipate all circumstances or environment in which
the machine will be used. It is responsibility of the owner and operator assigned to pay
attention to particular risks, paying particular attention to the slicer blade and all moving parts.
- Essedue disclaims any liability for damage to persons or property caused by incorrect
use of the machine, by tampering and alteration of the same and failure to respect the
practices dictated by common sense and safety.
SHARPENING
- Press the OFF switch to turn off the slicer. Make sure to accurately clean the blade with a
mild detergent. Pull the food chute towards the operator, then rotate the index knob
counterclockwise. Loosen the sharpener knob, rotate the metal lever counterclockwise in order to
release the housing compartment of the sharpener. Press the button on the back of the sharpener
(Fig. 2a), fitting the sharpener stone between the blade and the slicer table (Fig 2b). Press the
sharpener downwards, with the chute sliding rod fitting the housing of the sharpener. Return the
metal lever to its original position and tighten the knob. G
- Operate the machine for no longer than 3-4 seconds. If necessary, repeat the sharpening.
After sharpening, press the OFF switch, loosen the sharpener knob, rotate the metal lever and pull
the sharpener up, pressing the sharpener button at the same time. Turn the index knob clockwise.
