What to do if the main burner will not light on my Essence ESS45 Indoor Fireplace?
    • M
      Melinda GrahamAug 1, 2025
If the main burner on your Essence Indoor Fireplace fails to light, first, ensure the valve or switches are in the “ON” position. Then, inspect the burner, line, orifice, and ports for any blockages and clean if necessary. If you have a remote, test it for defects, checking the batteries.

Why won't the pilot light on my Essence ESS45 Indoor Fireplace stay lit after following the instructions?
    • L
      Lisa MendezAug 5, 2025
If the pilot light on your Essence Indoor Fireplace won't stay lit, the flame must impinge on or engulf the thermocouple. Ensure all wire connections at the gas valve terminals are tight and the thermocouple is fully inserted into the mounting bracket. Check wire continuity and connections in the pilot circuit. If the issue persists, the thermocouple may be defective and require replacement.

What causes the pilot of my Essence ESS45 to not light after repeated triggering of the remote control?
    • D
Dr. Teresa Sandoval DDSAug 15, 2025
If the pilot of your Essence Indoor Fireplace won't light after repeated attempts, it could be due to several reasons. There might be no spark at the electrode, so align the electrode with a 1/8” (3mm) gap to the pilot hood. Check for poor connections at the starter and ignition electrode and reconnect if loose. Other potential causes include a broken ceramic cover on the ignition electrode, low or dead batteries, no gas or low gas pressure (turn on shut-off valves, purge gas lines, connect all gas lines, and check for a kinked line), or air in the gas lines.

Why does the flame burn blue and lift off the burner on my Essence Indoor Fireplace?
    • J
      Jeffrey BartlettAug 21, 2025
If the flame on your Essence Indoor Fireplace burns blue and lifts off the burner, it may be due to insufficient combustion air. Ensure that no foreign material blocks air inlets and that the vent is adequate. Also, check the manifold pressure, as it may be set too high.

What to do if flames impinge on firebox top of my Essence Indoor Fireplace?
    • M
      Michelle ColemanAug 27, 2025
If the flames impinge on the firebox top of your Essence Indoor Fireplace, it is likely due to a restricted or inadequate vent system, so correct the flue as required. Additionally, check the manifold pressure to ensure it is not too high.
