STERILIZATION
WARNING
• Sterilize by autoclave after each patient use.
• Sterilization is required before first use.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during sterilization and lubrication process. This should include eye protection
and gloves.
• Do not use ultrasonic bath or cold sterile/disinfectant chemicals to clean handpiece.
• Do not autoclave handpieces together with other instruments.
• Do not use dry heat sterilization.
• Keep handpiece in sterilization pouch until ready to use.
• Do not cool handpiece manually as damage may occur.
1. Remove bur, then wipe external surface with dry paper towel to remove any excess lubricant and debris. Place paper towel in
biohazard bin when finished.
2. Place handpiece into sterilization pouch and seal. Bag handpieces individually; no more than 1 per pouch.
