III.FUNCTIONSOFDEVICE
The product is delivered with two attachments – yellow epilation attachment for hair removal
and red attachment for skin rejuvenation (sometimes also photo-rejuvenation).
EPILATION
HowdoestheIPLepilationwork?
If used properly, the IPL technology (intensive pulses of light) epilation allows to achieve
long-lasting effect and to prevent the regrowth of the hair. It is achieved by heating the
hair and its root under the surface of the skin – the emitted light is absorbed, leading to
destruction of their cells without damaging surrounding tissues. Consequently, the hair
sheds within 1-2 weeks (Note: there may an impression of hairs continuing to grow, but they
are only pushed out and then they fall out naturally) and its further regrowth on given area is
prevented. If any new hairs occur (e.g. due to age or hormonal changes), they are fine and
soft, and their density is reduced.
The major role plays the dark pigment (melanin), which can absorb the flashes of the light.
The darker the hair is, the more amount of light it can absorb. That is why its use is not
effective in light hair – as light hair absorbs only a minimum of light; majority of hair remains
undamaged.
However, IPL epilation is only effective when the hairs are in their growingphase!
There are approximately 10-30 % of them at the time of the session (this is very variable,
and it depends on the individual, as well as the part of the body). Therefore, an effective hair
removal requires some patience and repeating the epilation in regular cycles within
a prolonged period (see below).
SKINREJUVENATION
The flashes during the treatment generate heat inside the skin, stimulating the creation
of collagen, which improves the elasticity and smoothness of the skin. At the same time,
the heat treatment positively influences undesirable hormonal pigmentation (acquired, for
example, during pregnancy), small veins, and smoothens various scars. The colour of the
skin is unified to certain extent, its texture improved, the wrinkles are partially smoothened
and overall freshness and vitality of the skin is improved.

Due to hormonal changes, the attachment for rejuvenation is not recommended for use by
persons under 25 years of age. However, always consider your overall health condition and
respect the warnings given in these instructions. Also, do not use the attachment to unify the
areas of pigmentation with other than hormonal cause (e.g. pigmented nevi). If you have any
doubts concerning the use on your specific pigmented areas, always consult your physician
or dermatologist first.
