Before Putting Into Use
 Before connecting the appliance to the mains supply, leave it
stand for about 2 hours, which will reduce a possibility of
malfunctions in the cooling system due to transport handling.
 Clean the appliance, and be thorough, especially in the
interior (See Cleaning and Maintenance).
 In case the interior accessories are not correctly placed,
rearrange them as described in chapter Description of the
Appliance.
Instructions for Use
These instructions for use are intended for the user. They
describe the appliance and its correct and safe use. They were
prepared for various types/models of refrigerators therefore you
might find in it description of some functions and accesories
that your appliance does not have.
Mounting Instructions
Integrated appliances are equipped with instructions for
mounting the appliance into the kitchen unit.
The appliance should be professionally mounted by qualified
technician and instructions are for his use only.
We Care for the Environment
 Our appliances are distributed in packaging made of
environmental friendly material which could safely be
recycled, disposed off or destroyed, with no effects on the
nature whatsoever.
 These instructions are printed either on recycled paper or
chlorine free bleached paper.
 When your appliance finally wears out, please try not to
burden the environment with it; call your nearest authorised
service agent. (See Disposing of the Worn Out Appliance)
Tips for Energy Savings
 Try not to open the door too often, especially when the
weather is wet and hot. Once you open the door, mind to
close it as soon as possible. This is especially important if
you have an upright model.
 Check periodically if the appliance is provided with sufficient
cooling (undisturbed circulation of air through the bottom rail
openings).
 Turn the thermostat knob from higher to lower setting as
soon as possible (depends on how loaded the appliance is,
ambient temperature...).
 Before loading the appliance with fresh food, make sure it
was cooled to ambient temperature.
 Ice and frost layer increase energy consumption, so do
clean the appliance as soon as the layer is 3-5 mm thick.
 If the gasket is damaged or if it turns out that the sealing is
poor, the energy consumption is substantially higher. To
restore efficiency, replace the gasket.
 Condenser at the bottom of the appliance must always be
clean and dust free (see Section Cleaning of the
Appliance).

Overview

This document provides comprehensive instructions for the use, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a refrigerator designed for domestic use, specifically for storing fresh foods at temperatures above 0°C.

Function Description

The refrigerator's primary function is to store fresh foods, maintaining them at temperatures above 0°C. It operates using a cooling system with a compressor, controlled by a thermostat knob located in the upper right part of the interior. The appliance features automatic defrosting, where ice formed on the rear wall melts automatically, and the water drains through a hole into a collection receptacle at the bottom. Illumination inside the refrigerator turns on when the door is opened, independent of the thermostat setting.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Temperature Range: The appliance is designed for ambient temperatures depending on its class (SN or N), as stated on the rating plate.
    • SN (subnormal): +10°C to +32°C
    • N (normal): +16°C to +32°C
  • Adjustable Height: The appliance is equipped with four adjustable legs, allowing its height to be adjusted from 82 to 90 cm. This adjustment should be made before building the appliance into a kitchen unit to ensure the top panel fits flush with the worktop.
  • Power Supply: The appliance requires connection to a power supply socket outlet with a ground terminal. Nominal voltage and frequency are indicated on the rating plate. It can withstand temporary voltage tolerance of -6% to +6%.
  • Light Bulb: The interior light uses an E14, max. 15W bulb.

Usage Features

Before First Use:

  • Allow the appliance to stand for about 2 hours after transport to prevent cooling system malfunctions.
  • Thoroughly clean the interior before use.
  • Ensure all interior accessories are correctly placed.

Placing and Installation:

  • Position the appliance in a dry, well-ventilated room, away from heat-emitting devices (cookers, radiators, water heaters) and direct sunlight.
  • Maintain a minimum distance of 3 cm from electric or gas cookers and 30 cm from oil or coal stoves; use appropriate insulation if these distances cannot be met.
  • Connect the appliance to a grounded power supply socket.

Temperature Selection:

  • The thermostat knob ranges from STOP (0) to 7. Higher settings (towards 7) result in lower (colder) temperatures, potentially below 0°C. Medium settings are recommended for normal ambient temperatures.
  • The appliance does not operate in the STOP (0) position (cooling system off), but power supply is not interrupted (the light still works).
  • Temperature inside the refrigerator is influenced by ambient temperature and door opening frequency.

Storing Fresh Foods:

  • Foods should be properly packed in polyethylene bags, aluminum foil, wax paper, or covered containers to prevent moisture and odor mixing.
  • Ensure adequate air circulation around packages; avoid storing inflammable, volatile, or explosive substances.
  • Beverages with high alcohol content should be stored in tightly sealed, vertical bottles.
  • Foods should not touch the rear wall and should be cooled before storing.
  • Crispy and delicate foods should be stored in the coldest parts (the back) of the refrigerator.
  • Minimize door opening frequency.
  • Adjust the thermostat gradually to avoid freezing foods when aiming for the lowest temperatures.

Storage Time (Days) Examples:

  • Butter: 7 days
  • Eggs: 10 days
  • Fresh uncut meat: 2 days
  • Chopped meat: 1 day
  • Smoked meat: 10 days
  • Fish: 1 day
  • Marinade: 10 days
  • Root vegetables: 8 days
  • Cheese: 4 days
  • Sweets: 2 days
  • Fruit: 2 days
  • Prepared dishes: 2 days

Maintenance Features

Automatic Defrosting:

  • The refrigerator automatically defrosts. Ice formed on the rear wall melts, and water drains through a hole into a collection receptacle at the bottom.
  • Regularly check and clean the defrost water outlet and channel to prevent clogging.

Cleaning the Appliance:

  • Before Cleaning: Disconnect from power supply.
  • Exterior: Clean with water and detergent. Varnished surfaces can be cleaned with a soft cloth and an alcohol-based cleaner (e.g., glass cleaner, ethanol, or isopropyl alcohol). Avoid abrasive or aggressive cleaners, especially on plastic and coated parts.
  • Interior: Remove detachable accessories and clean with water and liquid detergent. Plastic parts are not dishwasher safe. Wash the interior with lukewarm water and a few spoonfuls of vinegar.
  • Air Openings: Periodically clean or vacuum the air openings in the bottom rail.
  • Condenser: Dust from the condenser should be vacuumed. To access it, push the finger through the opening in the bottom rail, release the fastener, pull the rail, remove the bottom board of the kitchen cabinet, pull out the condenser dish, vacuum the dust, and then reassemble in reverse order.

Troubleshooting Guide:

  • Appliance Fails to Operate: Check power supply and thermostat knob position.
  • Continuous Cooling System Operation: May be due to frequent/long door openings, improperly closed/damaged door, overloaded appliance, or insufficient cooling of compressor/condenser (check bottom rail openings and condenser cleanliness).
  • Ice Formation on Inner Rear Wall: If ice layer exceeds 3-5 mm, manually defrost by setting thermostat to STOP (0) and leaving the door open. Do not use electric devices or sharp objects for defrosting. Causes include poor door seal, frequent/long door openings, warm food, or food touching the inner back wall.
  • Sound Alarm: An alarm sounds when the condenser is dusty, heard at each door opening. Clean the condenser.
  • Water Drains into Bottom Compartment: Clean clogged drain hole with a plastic straw or manually defrost increased ice layer.
  • Noise: Compressor and refrigerant flow noises are normal. Louder noise after startup is normal and reduces gradually. Unusual or stronger noise may indicate inadequate placement (appliance not level, touching walls/units, loose interior accessories, rattling bottles/tins).

Switch Off When Not In Use:

  • For longer periods of non-use, set the thermostat to STOP (0), disconnect power, remove food, defrost, clean, and leave the door slightly open.

Bulb Replacement:

  • Disconnect power.
  • Press and remove the plastic cover (following arrow directions).
  • Replace with a new E14, max. 15W bulb. Dispose of old bulb as non-organic waste. Bulb consumption is not covered by in-guarantee service.
