Folding the bicycle rack up
To open the car boot, you may fold the rack down, even if bicycles are mounted. To do this, rst loosen the block of the folding mechanism by pushing the locking
bolt down (1) and pushing the handle away from you (1). Hold the U-bracket or bicycles with one hand, with the other hand pull the lever of the folding mechanism
upwards (1). Now you can fold the rack down.
Raising the rack platform engages it back into the transport position (you will hear a click). Secure the folding mechanism again by pushing the locking bolt down
and pulling the handle towards you.
The rack may not be used without the additional lock securing mechanism.
The bicycle rack may not be used without this safety strap.
Mounting the bicycles to the rack
Since the frame holders are not tied to any specic position, you may try out a number of positions. It is important to ensure that the frame holder is tted as high as
possible. Position the rst bicycle in the rst wheel rail (the wheel rail closest to the vehicle). Connect the frame of the bicycle to the U-bracket using the short frame
holder. Place the second bicycle in the middle wheel rail, facing the opposite direction to the rst. Connect the frame of the second bicycle to the U-bracket using the
long frame holder. Place the third bicycle in the third wheel rail, facing the opposite direction to the second. Connect the frame of the third bicycle using the loose
frame holder (the one with two tensioning straps) to the frame of the second bicycle.
Secure the wheels with the supplied short tensioning straps. Use one tensioning strap to secure the rear wheel and two for the
front wheel (see picture) to prevent them from turning.
Now secure the bicycles with the long safety strap. Wrap the safety strap through the bicycle frames and the U-shaped
bar and tighten.
The bicycles are removed in reverse order.
