Note: Turn off the switch and unplug the electrical cord before servicing.

Problem Cause Solution
Motor will not start Electric plug • Push plug securely into outlet
• Try another outlet
• Check circuit breaker
Power switch not turned “ON” • Make sure power switch is “ON”
No suction at end Full paper bag • Replace paper bag
of hose
Paper bag clogged • Replace paper bag
Hose clogged • Remove any clogs from hose that restrict airflow,
then try again
Front cover not latched • Push front cover until it latches firmly
Reduced suction Full paper bag • Replace paper bag
Slip ring open • Rotate slip ring on wand until hole is covered
Hose clogged • Remove any clogs from hose that restrict airflow,
then try again
Cleaner shuts off Internal safety thermostat trips • Unplug cleaner and check for obstructions in hose,
(see page 4 for details) wands and attachments
• Check for full paper bag
• Clean/replace motor filter
