The aircraft seat belt

must be as tight as possible.
Route the excess seat belt strap

belt slots

, as shown above. Using your full weight,
push the base firmly onto the aircraft seat
while pulling
on the excess
seat belt strap to tighten.
Check your work. Try to move the base in all
directions. If you can move the base more than 25
mm (1 in.) side-to-side or front to back at the belt
path

, the aircraft seat belt

is not tight enough,
and you MUST install again until the seat belt is tight.
