Harness: 5-point harness
*Minimum weight limit lowered from four pounds in 8/19, retroactive for all
models.
Harness: Harness straps are attached to a splitter plate
behind the seat. Pull strap end at front of seat to tighten
harness. Push button at lower front of seat and pull on
shoulder straps to loosen. The lap straps are threaded
through slots near childs hips to the outside/underside of
seat. There are three sets of hip strap slots. Hip straps
should be close to, but not underneath childs hips.
There are three possible configurations– diagram 1
shows routing for small child (approx. 4-6 lbs.), diagram
2 shows routing for a larger child (approx. 6-20 lbs.), and
diagram 3 shows routing for an even larger child
(approx. 20-35 lbs.).
Harness slots: There are four sets of slots. To
change shoulder strap slot height, remove straps from
splitter plate on back and rethread through desired slots.
Reattach straps to splitter plate. To shorten straps for
newborn, attach splitter plate to top loops (diagram 4).
For larger infants use bottom loops (diagram 5).
Buckle strap: There are three sets of slots in the shell
and two sets of slots in padding. When using either of the innermost
slots in shell, route buckle strap through innermost slot in padding.
When using outermost slot in shell, route buckle strap through
outermost slot in padding. Buckle strap is attached to a metal buckle
under seat. To change position, feed metal anchor up through slot to
top of seat and rethread through desired slot. Buckle strap should be
close to, but not underneath, child. For infants up to 8 lbs. buckle
strap may be shortened by routing anchor back up through middle or
front slot.
