Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other
construction activities contains chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects
or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are:
• lead from lead-based paints,
• crystalline silica from bricks and cement
and other masonry products, and
• arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated lumber.
Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often you do this
type of work. To reduce your exposure to these chemicals: work in a well
ventilated area, and work with approved safety equipment, such as those
dust masks that are specially designed to filter out microscopic particles.

      Your Evercraft Sander might be running slowly or not at all due to a few reasons: airflow could be blocked by dirt, motor parts might be jammed with dirt, or the power regulator could have vibrated to a closed position. To resolve this, first check the air inlet strainer for any blockage. Then, pour a generous amount of air tool oil into the air inlet and operate the tool in short bursts, both forward and reverse. Repeat if necessary. If the issue persists, it's recommended to have it serviced at an authorized service center.

      If your Evercraft Sander tool won't run, but exhaust air flows freely, it could be that one or more motor vanes are stuck due to sludge or varnish, or the motor is rusted. To attempt a fix, pour a generous amount of air tool oil into the air inlet and operate the tool in short bursts, both forward and reverse. Lightly tap the motor housing with a plastic mallet. Detach the air supply and try to free the motor by turning the drive shank manually, if possible. If the tool remains jammed, it should be serviced at an authorized service center.

      If your Evercraft Sander tool will not shut off, it could be due to a broken or mispositioned throttle valve O-ring, or a bent or jammed throttle valve stem. Remove the assembly and install a new O-ring. Lubricate it with air tool oil and operate the trigger briskly. If the operation cannot be restored, the tool should be serviced at an authorized service center.
