•Halogenatedhydrocarbonsolvents—forexample,methylene
chloride—arenotchemicallycompatiblewiththealuminum
thatmightbeusedinmanysystemcomponents.Thechemical
reactioncausedbythesesolventsreactingwithaluminumcan
becomeviolentandleadtoanequipmentexplosion.Gunswith
stainlesssteelfluidpassagesmaybeusedwiththesesolvents.
However,aluminumiswidelyusedinothersprayapplication
equipment-suchasmaterialpumps,cupsandregulators,
valves,etc.Checkallotherequipmentitemsbeforeuseand
makesuretheycanalsobeusedsafelywiththesesolvents.

Ifindoubtastowhetherornotacoatingorcleaningmaterialis
compatible,contactyourmaterialsupplier.

Useamaskorrespiratorwheneverthereisa
chanceofinhalingsprayedmaterials.Themask
mustbecompatiblewiththematerialbeing
sprayedanditsconcentration.
