Overview

This document provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of Everdure dishwashers, including models DWF146SC1, DWF146PC1, and DWF146WC1. It is designed to help users properly utilize and care for their appliance, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.

Function Description

The Everdure dishwasher is an appliance intended for household and similar applications, such as staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working environments; farmhouses; and residential settings like hotels, motels, and bed and breakfasts. Its primary function is to clean dishes, cutlery, and other kitchenware efficiently. The dishwasher operates through various wash cycles, each tailored to different levels of soiling and types of items. It utilizes detergent and rinse aid to ensure thorough cleaning and streak-free drying. The appliance features a filtering system to remove food particles from the wash water, which is crucial for maintaining cleaning performance.

Usage Features

The dishwasher is equipped with a user-friendly control panel that includes a power indicator and button, a display screen showing remaining time, running state, and delay time, program indicators, and specific indicators for upper and lower basket loading. It also features a child lock button, delay button, program button for selecting wash cycles, and an "Alt function" button for dual-zone wash. An "Extra drying" function can be selected for enhanced drying results, increasing the final rinse temperature. Rinse aid warning lights alert the user when the dispenser needs refilling.

Before starting a wash cycle, users are instructed to fill the detergent dispenser and rinse aid dispenser. The detergent dispenser has compartments for main wash and pre-wash detergents. The rinse aid dispenser, with a capacity of about 110ml, automatically releases rinse aid during the final rinse to prevent water spots and aid drying. The rinse aid level can be monitored via an optical indicator.

Loading the dishwasher baskets correctly is essential for optimal performance. The upper basket is designed for delicate and lighter items like glasses, cups, and small bowls, while the lower basket accommodates larger and more heavily soiled items such as pots, pans, and serving dishes. Items should be placed face downwards or aslant to allow water to drain. Cutlery should be placed in the cutlery rack separately, ensuring they do not nest together. The height of the upper basket can be adjusted to create more space, and folding spikes in the lower basket allow for better stacking of pots and pans.

The dishwasher offers several wash programs, including Intensive, Heavy, Normal, Glass, 90min, and Rapid, each with specific temperature settings, detergent requirements, and estimated running times. Users can select a program based on the soil level and type of items. A running cycle can be modified if it has been running for a short time; otherwise, the detergent dispenser may need refilling. The appliance can be paused to add forgotten dishes. At the end of a cycle, the dishwasher signals completion, and it's recommended to wait a few minutes before unloading to avoid scalding and improve drying.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the dishwasher's performance and longevity. The filtering system, consisting of a coarse filter, a flat (main) filter, and a microfilter (fine filter), needs to be cleaned regularly. Food particles trapped in these filters should be removed after each wash cycle by rinsing them under running water. The entire filter assembly should be cleaned once a week using a cleaning brush. It is important never to operate the dishwasher without the filters properly installed.

Caring for the dishwasher's exterior involves cleaning the control panel with a lightly dampened cloth and drying it thoroughly. A good appliance polish wax can be used for the exterior. Sharp objects, scouring pads, or harsh cleaners should be avoided. The door edges should be cleaned with a soft, warm, damp cloth, taking care not to use spray cleaners near the door lock and electrical components.

For periods of non-use, it is recommended to run an empty wash cycle, remove the plug, turn off the water supply, and leave the door slightly open to prevent odors and prolong the life of door seals. If the appliance needs to be moved, it should be kept in a vertical position if possible.

To protect against freezing in winter, users should cut off electrical power, turn off and disconnect the water inlet pipe, drain water from the inlet pipe and valve, reconnect the inlet pipe, and remove the filter at the bottom of the tub to soak up any remaining water.

The spray arms also require regular cleaning to prevent hard water chemicals from clogging the jets and bearings. The upper spray arm can be removed by rotating it clockwise, and the lower spray arm by pulling it upward. They should be washed in soapy water and cleaned with a soft brush before being thoroughly rinsed and replaced.

The manual also includes a troubleshooting guide to help users resolve common problems themselves, such as the dishwasher not starting, water not pumping out, suds in the tub, stained interiors, rattling noises, and error codes displayed on the screen. This self-help section aims to reduce the need for professional service calls.
