Function Description:
The Evonic Fires Suites are electric fireplaces designed for indoor use, providing both aesthetic flame effects and heating capabilities. They can be installed as floor-based units with a riser or wall-mounted. The fireplaces offer various control methods, including a dedicated remote control and a smart device application (e-smart App), which also integrates with voice assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Some models feature e-lluminate lighting kits for enhanced ambiance.

Usage Features:
- Installation:
- Floor-Based (with Riser): Involves positioning a riser and then carefully lifting and inserting the fireplace into it. Requires a minimum of 2 people.
- Wall-Mounting: Requires removing transit brackets, screwing on an IEC Clip, securing a wall bracket (optional extra) to the wall, and then hanging the appliance. Larger models (1800mm or 2400mm) may require extra support.
- Glass Removal/Installation: Side glass panels are removed by unscrewing top retainers and sliding them out. Front glass panels (on 1800mm and 2400mm models) are installed by positioning the bottom edge first and pivoting into place, often with the aid of a suction cup (provided, but not for sole support).
- Control Methods:
- Remote Control: Automatically paired. Features buttons for fire ON/OFF, feature lights/overbed illumination ON/OFF, heater ON/OFF, flame animation change (not for single-color models), and brightness adjustment. Heater temperature is pre-set to 28°C and can only be adjusted via the app.
- e-smart App: Requires downloading the "E-Smart Cloud" app. Pairing involves connecting to the fire's Wi-Fi network (name varies by model) and then logging into the app. The app allows for comprehensive control, including:
- Control Overview: Access to timer settings, shop, and general settings.
- Temperature Dial: Adjusts target temperature.
- Animation Choice: Selects flame animation.
- Lighting Settings: Adjusts flame speed/brightness bar and fuel bed speed/brightness bar.
- Timer Programming: Set desired times for fire ON/OFF or heater ON/OFF on specific days.
- Updating Fire: The app facilitates firmware updates for the fire (can take up to 10 minutes).
- Voice Control (Amazon Alexa & Google Home):
- Alexa: Connects via the "Evonicfires Halo" skill. Commands include "turn fire on/off," "set fire heater to auto/off," "set temperature to X degrees," "make it warmer/cooler."
- Google Home: Connects via "Works with Google." Commands include "turn on/off the fire," "change the animation to..." (heater control not available via Google Home app).
- e-lluminate Lighting Kit: Separate instructions (via QR code) for installation. Once plugged in, it can be set up and controlled via the e-smart app, allowing for mood light adjustments.
- Pre-Installation Check: Recommended to turn on the appliance before full installation to ensure functionality.
Maintenance Features:
- General: The manual emphasizes that a maintenance hatch must be installed into the surrounding installation to allow future access.
- Cleaning: Disconnect from power supply before cleaning. Do not use steam cleaners or aerosols.
- Disposal: Detailed table for disposing of various components:
- Metal (Steel or cast iron): Local recycling centre for reuse.
- Glass & Screens: Local recycling centre for reuse.
- Vermiculite: Non-hazardous; can be crushed for plant bedding/composting or disposed of at a local recycling centre.
- Electrical components (Fans, heater elements, PCBs, Power packs, LEDs): Local recycling centre in accordance with WEEE directive.
- Log fuel effects: Contain refractory ceramic fibre materials, requiring disposal in accordance with WEEE legislation.
- Natural Wood: Local recycling centre for reuse.
- Troubleshooting (Connection Problems): Provides a step-by-step guide including switching fire/router ON/OFF, checking Wi-Fi settings, renaming the fire in the app, verifying IoT Registration details, and ensuring "Static IP" is not selected.
- Resetting Fire: If connection issues persist, the fire can be reset to factory settings by turning it off and on 5 times at the power switch (with 1-second intervals), after ensuring the fire is fully updated.
- Retro-fitting Remote Control: Instructions for pairing the remote with older models, involving updating the fire via the app, accessing "other options" in settings, and enabling "allow remote control (universal)."
- Warranty:
- Standard: 5-year warranty (1 year parts & labour + 4 years parts supplied) for products purchased after May 1st, 2022.
- Registration: Requires product registration on evonicfires.co.uk/register-your-product.
- Service: Maintenance call-outs are available at a cost. Repairs must use parts supplied or authorized by Evonic Fires.
- Exclusions: Damage from improper installation/usage, lack of maintenance, unauthorized modifications, storage in damp environments, consequential loss not supplied by CK Fires Ltd, removal/re-installation costs. Consumable items (glass, screens, LEDs, etc.) are covered for the first 12 months only.
- Claim Process: Must be reported to retailer or CK Fires Ltd within 14 days of fault notice, with evidence (pictures/videos).
- Reporting a Fault: QR code provided to access the "Report a Fault" page on their website.
