and B setting
Turn the shutter-speed setting knob (10) until the
desired figure or the B will be at the orange-
coloured triangle . The figures from 2 to 1000 repre-
sent fractions of seconds (e. g. 1/125 sec.) . Inter- -
mediate speeds cannot be set. In case of the
B setting the shutter will remain opened as long
as the pressure on the right- hand release (5). on
the left-hand release (16) or on a cable release
screwed into the left-hand release (16) (important
for expos ure times longer than 8 seconds) conti-
nue s. Accordingly, the B setting will pe rmit any
ex posure tim es you like (e . g. for taking night and
indoor exposures).
For working with the B setting a cable release with
time-exposure lock can be recommended: After
depressing the cable release. operate the time-
exposure lock. The shutter will remain opened
without having to keep one's finger constantly
on the releas e (olso eli minating camero shake)
until the time- expos ure lo ck is disengaged.
