Operating the lens
1. The lenses of the EXAKTA RTL 1000 are equipped
with internal release of the fully-automatic pressure
diaphragm . Select the desired aperture number by
turning the aperture-setting ring (17) : the oL esired
aperture number must be opposite the orange -
coloured triangle .
The smaller aperature numbers. e. g . f I . B. 2. 2.B.
4 indicate relatively large diaphragm openings :
these permit brief exposures. but give only shallow
depth of field . The larger aperature numbers. e. g.
16,22. indicate r elatively small diaphragm openings
requiring longer exposure times. but giving great
depth of field . Further information on the depth
of field will be found on page 19.
